I have been working in a temp position in Asset Accounting and in Asset Management doing various account reconciliation and asset projects after retiring in 2015.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.Review and approve requisitions for correct coding.
2.Perform controlled asset setup. Assists in the set up of capital assets, obtain information from various departments to assist with identifying capital projects or capital equipment.
3.Prepare and submit journals when incorrect account is used as assets come through the AP/AM interface.
4.Assists in development and implementation of new or revised accounting and operational procedures.
5.May compile and prepare monthly, quarterly and/or annual reports as required.
6.Reconciliation of AM system to GL, verify balances and perform necessary journal entries.
7.Provide working supervision to Accounting Clerk and/or Accountant I positions.
8.Performs other duties as assigned.
Department of Inventory Control
Southwestern Medical Center July 1999 to August 2015
I was an Accountant III, supervising the office staff and preparing inventory reports. I prepared all journal vouchers and ext’s for the office. I prepared all reports pertaining to personal property to be sent to the State Comptroller’s
Office and other agencies. I also was responsible for all year end reconciliations and closings for personal property.
My responsibilities also included assisting in the annual asset inventory, doctor transfers, reviewing asset records for correct coding, approved purchase requisitions for coding, and other duties in association with asset record maintenance and operations.
During the conversion to People Soft from OAS, I assisted in setting up the Asset Management module.
Commercial Credit Analyst, Loan Review Officer, Commercial Financial Auditor, Compliance Officer, and Full Charge Bookkeeper. Worked for;
First City Bank, U.S. National Bank, and United Bancshares. and National Legal Services April 1972 to July 1999.
