Office manager and Paralegal in a comprehensive firm of five attorneys. The practice was primarily, personal injury, Trip and Fall, No-Fault Automobile accidents but also prepared Wills, Real Estate and Compromise Orders. As Office Manager I was responsible for a staff of 15 Paralegals and Administrative Assistants. Responsibilities included, but were not limited to, training new employees, preparing and maintaining track of time and leave for all as well as calling in payroll, office purchasing, some billing and banking for the office.
Most importantly, I was responsible for the Court’s calendar scheduling for the office which included Examination Before Trials, and all matter of Court dates. Began as a Court Assistant, and advanced to Senior Court Clerk through competitive testing. Duties included working with the general public and preparing their documents (petitions) for Court. Also worked with the Supervising Judge, preparing his Orders and managing his Court room including scheduling his calendar and at times working with the clients to aid in the settling of disputes and presenting the settlement agreement to the Judge for approval.
