Responsibility for all Engineering projects and capital for the Jackson TN. plant of $1.61M for 2016 and $885K thru July for 2017.

Responsibility over Purchasing Manager, Storeroom attendants at the plant and MRO spend of $1.89M for 2016, and $1.20M for 2017. MRO spend reduction for 2016 $62, 408 and for 2017 $86,256 thru July.

Continuous Improvement Master Engineer over the Jackson TN. plant. Promoted to Lean Champion March 2012.

Responsible for building the foundation for cultural transformation to a Lean continuous improvement culture.

Provide focused process improvements, support, and leadership for development and implementation of effective systems that ensure the manufacturing process reach their maximum performance at the lowest cost.

Transfer knowledge of Lean manufacturing process and tools throughout the organization to teach and focus on elimination of non-value added work.

Production Manager over, 2 Production Supervisors, and 75 Bargaining Unit Employees. Prior to 2010 responsible for 2 Superintendents, 4 Production Supervisors, and 160 Bargaining Unit Employees.

Daily leadership in the areas of employee safety by raising awareness to potential hazards within all production areas. Establish expectations of direct reports regarding safety performance of each department. Established safety programs and environment that has achieved 2 Million Hrs. without a DAWC.

Schedule product through the production departments to provide customer orders are met with a 95% schedule adherence. Made changes in the schedule system that allowed us to reach schedule adherence achievement of 100%.

Provide leadership in the manufacturing areas to ensure quality standards are achieved on a consistent basis with customer quality expectations being met or exceeded. Quality improvements with customer claims reduction of 21.4%. Have lowered quality defects in the Mill operation from 11.5% to 4.13%, and reduced Finish Line Quality defects from 3.5% to 2.24%.

Drive continuous improvement activities through active application of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools. Developed standards for the $850, 000 rough end projects that have currently yielded an 18.5% productivity improvement. Provide work instructions and process improvements that insure a 3% productivity improvement yearly. Actual achievements of 7.2% productivity improvement by establishing quality and production checks through the Business Process Management system.

Participate in departmental budgets and assure that budget spending is not exceeded.

Assume leadership in the identification and development and justification of cost, reduction ideas, and eliminate non-value added work.

Provided training for all department Supervisors and department Lead People for successful implementation of SAP manufacturing system.

Established new training procedures and implementation for the start-up of a new production line.

Currently supervising new production line to insure transition of employees from the traditional mill lines to new cell concept.

Track production and quality to insure customer expectations and plant goals are achieved.

New cell concept exceeded production requirements within six weeks of start-up and continued to maintain and exceed production levels over traditional and existing mill line.

Helped lead and implement one piece flow in plant for layout of all winding lines. Reduced foot print of winding area by 50%, with reduction of manning from 30%to 45% in all areas.

Layout and implementation of kanban system to maintain and replenish inventory levels for all production lines.

Reduced scrap and rework by 95% due to implementation of lean tools through one piece flow of production lines.

Developed and maintain master schedule for the winding and welding production areas for all product lines. Customer orders came directly from customer to the production supervisors eliminating plant scheduler and reducing lead time from 7 days for all products to within 24 hrs.

Work with shipping department to set schedules to meet daily shipments

Oversee electrical repair area in plant for defective parts for return to the production process

Complete daily work force reports, work schedules and production reports

Handle human resource issues and maintain OSHA guidelines for assigned production areas.

Coach of successful problem solving team with accomplishments of savings over $100,000 per year.
