JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct a related design/topographic survey of the bench marks and control station at the beginning of the contract and ensure the accuracy of the information by closing the survey point to acceptable tolerances.
Any discrepancies in the survey information contained in the drawings are identical before the permanent works are constructed.
Carry out the survey at a consistent standard of accuracy. Survey data contain minimal level of discrepancies.
Maintain a data base of all control points and survey stations located in the area of responsibility. Data related to the survey station and control points is recorded and updated in an acceptable format.
Identify and bring to the attention of the survey supervisor/design manger/senior land surveyor any anomalies are discrepancies between the survey information contained a drawings and actual physical site conditions.
Review and approve shop drawings to ensure compliance with the design drawings. No changes due to differences and drawings during construction.
Carry out a survey check on coordinate’s alignment of the project/site
Responsible for horizontal and vertical control of the project. Checking of embankment, sub grade, aggregate base course, and curb casting.
Coordinate with planning for good progress.
Execute survey work as per monthly program.
To prepare the schemes and work methodologies and coordinate with clients/consultants for getting the survey drawing approved.
Layout of grids and boundary including structures with in cross section survey/route alignment survey/alignment of structures.
Closing traverse.
Pilling of bridges.
Layout of the culvert, pile points, pile capes, piers caps, bearing pads and deck slabs etc.
Lay-out and setting out of vertical and horizontal alignment of concrete bridges.
Establishment of horizontal and vertical control points for fixed reference Using total station and automatic level.
Area to determine portion to be cut or fill for preparation of monthly progress accomplishment monthly progress billing.
Layout and as built all structure facilities based on designed plan box culvert, pipe culvert slope protection etc.
Report on events and activities which may affect operations.
