PROJECT EXPERIENCE:-
Analysis and Implementation of Load Resonant Converter for Constant Current power Supply TEAM SIZE: (UG)
A prototype dc-to-dc energy converter circuit with the loaded-resonant converter was designed for a load and the Energy conversion efficiency of the proposed loaded-resonant topology reaches up to 88.3% had proved . Moreover, testing results were satisfied the performance of the proposed topology.
MRAC Based LQI Control Of 2-DOF Helicopter:(PG)
Helicopters are used where difficult manoeuvres are required. They are more versatile and can take-off and land without a runway. Helicopter is a multi-input multi-output system (MIMO) and highly coupled Non-linear system. So, control of helicopter is a challenging task. Automatic stabilization and control of helicopter is a challenging problem in research.
Since, Helicopter is highly non-linear. Usual practice is to linearized system and design controller for linear operating point. When non-linear is similar, the performance of the controller is questionable. Hence, Adaptive controller is used to adopt the controller gains based on operating point.
In this thesis, MRAC based LQI is implemented for an experimental Two Input Two Out Helicopter model. Effectiveness of the proposed controller is verified by simulation and hardware results and the results are presented. Obtained results indicate, that the MRAC based LQI is able to eliminate the steady state error in all operating points while achieving dynamics comparable to that of MRAC based LQR.
