Current Working Experience

1.Working as a Private Label Category Buyer with Lulu Group International, (From January 2016 – Till Date) Lulu Group is a International company with a chain of retail outlets & FMCG Import and exports all over GCC and other countries.

Responsibilities:-

Manage all the processes and activities related to Private Label product development.

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and buying at optimum cost, quality and availability, product ranges that meet customer needs thereby maximizing profits and providing a commercially viable range of merchandise.

The Buyer will be responsible for supporting the General Manager - Merchandising in defining and presenting short and long-term strategic approaches, future growth opportunities and areas of risk for the business with regards to brand assortment, ranging, products, positioning inventory and margins.

Source new Private Label vendors, traveling to audit vendor facilities, online sourcing etc. to ensure the best manufacturer for future products.

Drive long term strategy and business objectives for multiple divisions reflecting department positioning within the larger company.

Vendor Management :- Our main role is facilitate and maintain relationships between organization and vendors/partners, negotiating contracts, creating standards for the vendors, and finding the best available vendors, and looks to create an equally beneficial partnership between a company and supplier, while mitigating the vendor's risks.

Open-to-buy Management :- Responsible for achieving set financial targets in relation to all buying activities, OTB, margins, sell thru and markdowns. OTB helps Lulu to calculate how many products we need to buy. This includes physical inventory on hand and in transit, as well as any outstanding orders.

Pricing & Cost Negotiations :- Negotiate product pricing, cost of shipment and payment terms, intake margin and terms with local vendors, taking into consideration business and cost effectiveness as the main consideration.

Inventory Management :- Inventory management is responsible for ordering and tracking stock as it arrives at the warehouse. Order management is the process of receiving and tracking customer orders. Software often combines both tasks. Inventory management plays an important role in order management. There are four main types of inventory: raw materials/components, WIP, finished goods and MRO.

KPI management :- is a term used to describe the process of setting, performing, monitoring and analyzing specific industry key performance indicators (or KPIs) which helps companies and organizations in measuring the level of success in reaching their business objectives.

Ensure that commercial, yet profitable product ranges are developed and bought in order to maximise profit and sales.

Maintain profitable relationships with existing suppliers and monitor adherence to all contractual terms.

Ensure the compliance of the product's life cycle through collaboration with the concerned departments (supply chain, marketing, commercial etc.) in order to achieve the sales and profitability objectives of related Private Label products.

Manage brand portfolio for category, partner with planning to develop recommendations for brand portfolio adjustments (introduction/ discontinuations, increase/decrease) and space allocation per brand/ category, to maximize profit.

Coordinate and work closely with Marketing team on promotions, advertising, social media, PR, in store events and activities.

Communicate launching pack, highlighting in particular any special products bought, to the Marketing, Visual Merchandising teams, and Store Management.

Contribute to development of annual business plans, associated budgets and buying strategies, monitor performance against this, initiating corrective action where necessary to ensure operations are conducted within the agreed financial parameters and targets are achieved.

Responsible for achieving set financial targets in relation to all buying activities, OTB, margins, sell thru and markdowns.

Nurture strong working relationship with the Planning, Finance and Operations teams to drive common business goals.

Work closely with external Quality Assurance (QA) partners to ensure that Private Label products meet the required quality level throughout the lifecycle.

Work closely with a cross-functional team which includes designers, product developers, planners and manufacturing experts.

Deliver and develop monthly, seasonal and annual buying strategy working in strong partnership with Design, Planning and Product Development.

2.Worked as a Senior Category Buyer with Lulu Group International, (From February 2012- January 2016) (Lulu Hyper Market – Al Qusais).

3.Worked as an Supermarket Buyer with Lulu Group International, (April 2010 To February 2012) (Lulu Central Buying Devision - Dubai).

Responsibilities:-

Using High Value Purchase Orders to buy goods and services.

Procuring local, import brands and especially organic category

Establishing and managing contracts with suppliers.

Consulting with and supporting campus departments about their purchasing needs.

Soliciting competitive bids through requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs) and requests for information (RFIs).

Maintaining a suitable and diverse pool of suppliers.

Developing the merchandising strategies for the product line, store or organization.

Vendor selection, development and management. Negotiations with vendors for favorable terms and services are a delicate issue handled by the buyers.

A retail buyer is a person who purchases product on behalf of a retailer with the purpose of selling that product to the customer.

4.Worked as a TSM & Sales Manager in Bharti Airtel Ltd (Mobile & Broad band Services) (April 2005 To January 2010)
