As A Patient Access Specialist (PAS), I believe we are an integral part of the Medical office. We
are often the first person a patient may interact with over the phone or upon arriving at the
office. Therefore, the PAS is important to shaping the patients first impression of the medical
practice, which could shape the patient/provider relationship in the long-term. Even during the
most busy, hectic times, the PAS MUST maintain composure, and a friendly and positive
attitude.
Goals and Experience
To work as a Patient Access Specialist (PAS) Medical Assistant in a professional Medical office
greeting patients, answering telephones, fielding and triaging calls to proper departments,
scheduling appointments, patient registration and demographics, verifying health insurance
benefits and collecting copays, ordering additional testing and referrals as needed and all
general office duties. I have experience and knowledge of Medent, Medicon, Practice Manager
and EyeMed. Ability to multitask, excellent communication skills, outgoing and positive
personality with outstanding work ethics. I am punctual and reliable. I enjoy working with
people. Have a friendly personality with a positive attitude, and am a team player.
