Unique properties of nanoparticles such as surface to volume ratio and quantum size e ects continue to improve and expand photo catalysis role in areas like environment remediation, sterilization, odor control and renewable energy. Photocatalysis appears as one of the most feasible solutions to eradicate organic pollutant from wastewater. In the present work, ZnO

and Cu2 doped ZnO were synthesized using the co-precipitation method for degradation of the crystal violet dye under UV irradiation.

The prepared samples were characterized by di erent characterization techniques such as UV-Vis spectroscopy, XRD, and PL. The in uence of the preparation conditions such as calcination temprature were also investigated. ABHISHEK TOMAR
