I am submitting my resume for review in the hopes I may be reconsidered for your Purchasing position. I have earned a certificate in Material Management, from Bloomfield College, NJ in May 2002. I have been a member of the Apices society for 10 years. I attended all 5 of the CPIM Classes, (Certified Production and Inventory Control) and past 4 out of five exams to receive the certificate. I also have attended all 4 classes for the (CSCP) Certified Supply Chain Professional Certificate
I have worked in the manufacturing industry for over 10 years. I previously worked for a medical device manufacture as a Finished Goods Planner/Buyer, and Production Service- Planner-Buyer, for a manufacture of analytical instruments for 8 years.
My career began at Daewoo Heavy Industries in the Spare Parts Department, receiving customer’s request for spare parts to their CNC machine. I became very service oriented to fulfill the needs of customers. One year after, I advance myself by adding the responsibilities of forecasting & procuring spare parts from the OME Manufacture in Korea to improve leads times on critical components on newer and older CNC machines. After Daewoo, I attended Bloomfield College and received a Certificate in Supply Chain Material Management that included seven courses in the related field
As I was attending classes at night at Bloomfield College to obtain my certified in material management, I went to work for Edax Inc, in Mahwah, NJ as the Service Parts Coordinator. There I became the point person to serve as a vital role to customer’s request for service parts for their analytical unit, and was able to follow through with all their diverse needs. Three years later, I was promoted to Production Planner/Buyer. I became part of the engineering team for new projects, in which I supported the purchasing in expediting of components needed to build prototype units. As new products were released from Engineering, it became my responsibility to procure all components, & determine the schedule for production, as I also continued to fulfill the needs as the Service Coordinator. I believe in a continuous process improvement throughout the entire supply chain that will have great benefit to the end user. I am driven to be very customer focus.
Unfortunately after 8 plus years, I became a victim of the economic conditions in January 2009 and was laid off from Edax. I then was able to find work with Parker Labs, as a Production Planner/Buyer. I had worked there for 4 years before moving down into Southport, North Carolina.
In March 2015, I accepted a temporary position as Customer Service/ Production Control position with a small Precision Bearings company in Southport. Unfortunately, the contract ended in 5 months.
Currently, I am working in hospitality & food retail industry for the last 6 years. I am eager looking to find opportunities to return to my professional skill level in the manufacturing industry.
Thank you for your valued time & your consideration
