OBJECTIVE I am seeking an opportunity to be a member of an engineering team, where I can
apply my education and 40 years of manufacturing experience to add value to
operations. I am looking for challenging opportunities with a company that places a
high priority on initiative, teamwork, quality and customer satisfaction.
EXPERIENCE
2003-2021 Exacta Aerospace / PCC Aerostructures, WICHITA, KANSAS
Engineering
I utilize my knowledge and experience to both plan and program complex aircraft
parts to be machined on various types of CNC milling machines - both vertical
and horizontal (3,4 and 5 axis) - using MasterCam and Catia software. I am also
responsible for designing and programming all tooling necessary to machine these
parts. Once programmed I use Vericut to verify the program. I create detailed setup
sheets that enable the operator to set up the parts efficiently.
2001-2003 Product Manufacturing Company, WICHITA, KANSAS
Programming
I was primarily responsible for programming Mazak and Mori-Seki horizontal
machining centers. I planned machining methods, designed tooling and
programmed the finished part in the most efficient manner possible.
1991-2000 R & R MACHINE, WICHITA, KANSAS
Programming
I worked with the owner to build R & R Machine from a small startup company,
operating out of his garage, to a highly respected award winning company. I was
lead programmer responsible for supporting 16 CNC work centers. I also inspected
machined parts to insure that they met all dimensional requirements as needed.
Planning
I wrote planning’s to establish the most efficient method of routing parts through
the manufacturing process. I determined key characteristics on each part to ensure
that they met quality standards.
Tooling
I designed, planned and programmed tooling used to manufacture aircraft parts.
Network Administration
I set up and administered R & R’s computer network enabling both office and shop
employees to perform their job functions more efficiently. I was responsible for
ensuring that all computers on the network functioned properly and that all users
authorized to use the network were able to perform their duties if network access
was required.
1980-1991 DIDDE WEB PRESS, WICHITA, KANSAS
Machinist
I efficiently set up and ran production on conventional and CNC lathes, mills,
grinders and drilling machines. I was promoted to set up person in the Hardinge
CHNC department where I ensured that company goals in productivity and quality
were exceeded. I demonstrated strong communication skills in training new
employees to set up and operate machine work centers. I worked as part of a team,
filling the roles of supervisor, first part inspector, and programmer as needed.
