As a Clinical Nurse at detention facilities staffed by IHSC, I provide medical, dental and mental health care to detainees in ICE Custody. This position is supervised by the Nurse Manager in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator and Clinical Director, with the Regional Nurse Manager as the reviewing official. I will perform the following duties:

• Provide direct, daily nursing care to ICE detainees, as ordered/needed following the Lippincott Procedure Manual and IHSC directives.

• Coordinate health care needs of detainees with healthcare team and coordinating referrals to off-site providers as required.

• Respond to emergency medical calls as assigned and provide emergency treatment of injury or illness.

• Ensure that medications prescribed are administered as ordered, using the six (6) rights of medication administration; and

• Maintain medical equipment and quality control of laboratory reagent, maintaining medical supply stock level, and assisting with ordering supplies. Corrections Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to the correctional facility based on the application of scientific nursing principles. In addition to general nursing care, responsibilities of Corrections. Nurses include (but are not limited to): Collaborates with primary care providers and other health care providers to ensure continuity, timeliness and appropriateness of care to inmate patients. The Montgomery County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) enhances the County’s emergency preparedness efforts by ensuring that a trained group of healthcare professionals and community volunteers are ready to assist the County in response to a public health emergency. In the event of a major disease outbreak or bioterrorism incident, the Montgomery County Office of Public Health, in conjunction with community partners, is preparing to open multiple Points of Dispensing (POD) sites throughout the County. These POD sites will serve to distribute medications or vaccinations to large segments of the County’s population. We help vaccinated the county with 100, 000 doses of COVID -19 Vaccines.
