National Warehouse Manager, Namibia Dairies-2020-current

Responsibilities:

Strategic direction

Support the development of general demand chain, cold chain, and warehousing strategies in line with operational and strategic goals and objectives.

Develop and implement plans for facility modification or expansion, such as equipment purchase or changes in space allocation or structural design.

Track and report all metrics tied to quality, repair, and inventory management

Recommend Capital investments involving warehouse space requirements, industrial lift equipment and material handling needs.

Conduct Depot visits to facilitate strategic direction of organization.

Customer equity and customer satisfaction

Enhance brand, maintain eminent appearance standards of ND stock /Goods.

Analyze market through customer visits to optimize distribution function.

Manage and investigate full returns.

Build sound customer relationships.

Maintain open communication with clients for all major issues and concerns, ensuring good relations with the customer and implement corrective actions to resolve issues.

People management

Ensure the assigned areas are managed in accordance with HSE policies and standards of the company.

Implement emergency planning and organize safety drills.

Receive and respond to tenant reports of mechanical or maintenance issues on their premises

Maintain fire, carbon monoxide, smoke, and other safety systems within the structure

Manage risk assessment for all contractors

Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated, and recommended improvements are implemented

Participate in monthly meetings when required, to report on relevant health & safety matters. Liaise with suppliers etc

Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health.

Ensure full and accurate health and safety and training records are maintained.

Building and Maintenance

Evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in the building.

Liaise with Building and maintenance manager about any work that requires outside expert assistance.

Develops and review preventative maintenance schedules and service contracts.

Prepare all purchase requisitions as per O&L requirements, price comparison.

Project management
