It will improve the dynamic performance of transmission line. STATCOM is utilized at the point of common connection to absorb or inject the required reactive power through which the voltage quality of PCC is improved.

H-Bridge cascaded STATCOM can obtain a high number of levels more easily and can be connected to the grid directly without the bulky transformer.
