Serve as instrument engineer for process hazard analysis (PHA) and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA).

Specifications for electrical components such as: process instrumentation, motors, lighting, control systems, electric heat tracing, etc.

Process functional control descriptions, analyzer shelters and hydrocarbon detectors.

12+ years of experience in commissioning, operating and maintenance of sample conditioning systems and associated process analyzers including but not limited to GCs, pH, conductivity, Tunable Diode Laser, TOC, turbidity, near infrared, etc.

Sound knowledge of solar energy structures and system operation.

Electrical documents such as: loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, control panel drawings, electrical installation details, etc.

Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

Employ Process Safety Management (PSM) by using the Management of Change (MOC) process.

Execute and mentor the completion of root cause analysis (Cause Mapping) of unplanned failures of equipment.

Control system and electrical inspection, testing (FAT), commissioning and start-up. Including: module assembly shops, control panels, instrumentation, other electrical components and control system programming.

The work involves installing a new sulfur analyzer to provide online monitoring of the sulfur content in the motor gasoline blending pool. This specification/scope provides a general outline of the requirements for the sulfur analyzer to be added in the existing analyzer building in the Blending Area.

Refinery Sector Rule Project: The work required to study the different Analyzer that could fulfill the EPA requirements for the deadline of January 30, 2019 to update the flaring conditions accordingly to the new US EPA Refinery Sector Rule. That requires additional monitoring and gas analysis when regulated material is sent to the flare.

Flares used as Air Pollution Control Devices; are expected to achieve 98% Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAP) destruction efficiencies.
