Powertrain Platform Quality Manager – June 2016 to December 2019

International – Transmissions and Drive line. Coordinate issues resolutions. Serve as a key contact for international issues for 9-speed transmissions. Asia Pacific, Europe & Middle East, and Latin American regions.

Identified powertrain integration process issues and assisted in providing corrective action in place. Organized and lead the rework operations at Changsha and Guangzhou plants in China, coordinating with the local rework company, Tipton Transmission Plant, and engineering. This rework operation resulted in $10+ millions in savings.

Customer Satisfaction Team Senior Specialist - January, 2009 to June 2016. Purchased transmissions.

-Identified quality issues and coordinated all efforts to find root cause and provide permanent corrective actions. -Assisted Transmission and Driveline engineering and/or Powertrain manufacturing quality with resolution of potential or systemic quality issues.

-Provided powertrain component installation processes to the Field Engineers to verify during the launch of Dodge Dart, both at the Android and Belvidere assembly plants.

Vehicle Assembly Plant Quality: 2006 – 2008. New Model Launch support [Vehicle assembly operations -Trim Chassis Final Area. Supported four new model launches [Jeep Wrangler, Dodge Nitro, Jeep Cherokee, and Dodge Ram] in Jeep and Truck Operations. Implemented pre-production quality initiatives such as providing Quality Verification Stations and error mistake proofing the processes. Team Leader in Station Direct Run Loss initiative in reducing quality issues. Provided training in several processes leading to improved vehicle quality. Implemented the best practices at the vehicle assembly plants to improve the Powertrain adaptation processes to reduce warranty and car plant pulls.

Coordinated all efforts to improve the manufacturing quality of the automatic transmissions through cross-functional activities. Consistently achieved warranty reduction goal of twenty percent per model year since 1995 for RWD automatic transmissions manufactured at Kokomo Transmission Plant.
