Skills and Experience

I have worked in logistics, retail environments, business offices, biotechs, restaurant kitchens, hospitality, concrete construction, the ministry and in commission sales. I have 40 years of work experience from which to draw.

Sales: Ranked in the top 20% of sales for the Western Region of the US. On the date of my separation from MFRM (08/28/21) was ranked number in the SF Bay District for 2021. I also maintained a good reputation with my customers. Many of the reviews can still be read on various MFRM Sites / Google reviews.I attribute all these achievements to the simple philosophy: Know my product and be willing to say, “Let’s find out”,treat my guest with respect, regardless of the outcome, and be honest.

Management:

-Store manager at 4 MFRM locations in a 3 years. I developed a reputation as a “Store Fixer.”

-Towne Park Valet I was the Assistant Account Manager for both the Oakland Marriott City Center and the Courtyard, handling operations for both sites.. ! year later received a promotion to be the Account Manager for The Claremont Hotel in Berkeley managing 17 valets. I handled all management aspects, from scheduling shifts 24 hours a day to basic HR issues. I have walked guests through issues with stolen vehicles as well as vehicles that had been significantly damaged.

Customer Service: In my 40 years of work experience I have worked in a great number of environments. Though they were in diverse fields, they all had this in common: It was my job and my goal to provide my employers, clients and customers with superior service; with a friendly and professional attitude. Even on a bad day I learned to leave my problems at the door.

Retail Experience: I have worked in several retail environments: Emporium Capwell’s, Macy’s (liaison positions via Calvin Klein and Estee Lauder, and in Fine Jewelry, Lucky’s. I have worked a register and know how important accuracy and good manners are. It is often a test of endurance to work a register for an 8-hour shift. I have worked holidays in 12-hour shifts. I have done over-night shifts in which I didn’t see one guest, but my employer knew that the position was not sitting empty.
