Ensign Drilling Dec 2021- Date

Drilling floorhand/derrickhand

Drill pipe, HWDP and casing prep for drilling operations

Surface, intermediate and production casing running and cementing.

Mud motor, drill bit and directional gamma tool assembly and deploying on rig floor.

Geological sample collection for subsequent depth and directional formation analysis.

Floor and derrick pipe handling for tripping operations, connection make up and break up

Quality Control and Assurance

Performed non-destructive stress tests and fatigue evaluation on drilling tools for Baker Hughes. Drill pipe, bottom hole assembly, heavy weight drill pipe, casing and tubing were regularly inspected at connections and on body for manufacture or service defects before being certified good or rejected for field operations.

Field repair services which included pipe straightening, seal refacing and thread dressing to minimize risk of downhole failure.

Artificial Lift Engineer (Jun 2011- May 2013)

Weatherford Canada Partnership

Designed and implemented artificial lift techniques for various wells with Pump Jack, Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) and Progressive Cavity Pump (PCP) applications.

Utilized Weatherford’s Continuous Rod technology and well optimization software to enhance the production life of wells which included corrosion analysis in EOR fields.

Sold and procured Artificial Lift equipment/accessories for wells all over South America and Canada.

University of Alberta (Jan 2008- June 2011)

Part of a multi-disciplinary team that successfully produced a Field Development Plan for Conoco Philips.

Took a lead role in historical data analysis which involved developing material balance software in Microsoft Excel to estimate the volume of hydrocarbons in place, emulsion analysis for oil/water separation

Performed the well log correlation of 3 core sample sections at the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER).\Design pressure vessel for core stress testing and evaluation

Well Completions Specialist (Jan 2006- Dec 2007)

Successfully managed the rig-site installation of the production strings of 4 wells including the setting of various hydraulically (ball and seat) and mechanically activated production packers in vertical, horizontal and multilateral wells for the Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigeria.

Designed upper completion strings that included the use of safety valves (DSYS) and landing nipples where required.

Utilized ‘Intelligent’ Completion’s design for challenging wells.
