Resume:

RACHEL SCHAUS

Dearborn, MI ***** 919-***-**** adqgau@r.postjobfree.com

Summary

My name is Rachel Schaus and I am a neonatal nurse practitioner student. As a dedicated registered nurse, researcher, and clinical professional with 7 years of experience in Level III and IV neonatal intensive care units, I successfully completed my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project in December 2021, which focused on “Increasing Mother's Own Milk (Mom) and Number of Infants Discharged on MOM through Implementation of a Kangaroo Care Program in the Neonatal ICU.” The DNP degree will be conferred in May 2022 with 675 neonatal nurse practitioner clinical hours to be completed by August 2022. I am searching for an Advanced Practice Provider position as a neonatal nurse practitioner, where roles and responsibilities fit both my interests and hospital needs. The ideal position includes a scope of work that includes, for example, an environment in which to provide health and medical care for diverse populations in the NICU setting; an ability to implement evidence-based care and to initiate and/or contribute to ongoing research efforts in quality or process improvement; educating families, staff, and students; developing and delivering instruction to physicians, nursing, ancillaries and/or students through a variety of modalities; and, importantly, a leadership role that encompasses the collaborative facilitation and coordination of cross-departmental delivery of state-of-the art and compassionate care to neonates and their families. Being a non-native Spanish speaker has served my patients, their families, and my employers well and therefore I would like to find a hospital which provides services to a diverse demographic where those language skills would be useful.
