JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides assessment and evaluation of patient after consulting from rehab doctor

Collaborates with the physiatrist to build an effective and efficient rehab program during the course of PT sessions

Accomplish evaluation forms

Educates patient about his/her condition, home exercise program and ADL modifications

Re-evaluates patient after the recommended sessions and modifies program if necessary

Assists patient in using assistive devices

Educates caregivers and/or family members about patient’s condition and home program

Applies TENS, hot packs and ice packs as an adjunct to treatment

Applies High Intensity Laser Therapy and Shockwave Therapy as advised by the physiatrist

Responsible for preparing the equipment and tools needed before the treatment

Observes before and after care of the equipment and room

Helps with reception duties should the need arise

Guides the affiliated interns in managing and treating patients
