• Read work orders and inspect condition of vehicle.

• Analyzing, assessing, evaluating the exterior paint condition on various types of vehicles and selecting appropriate corrective action or method of repair.

• Identifying and removing layers of sub-coatings by using abrasives, solvents or chemicals.

• Preparing surfaces using power, manual sanding equipment, applying sanding and masking techniques.

• Completing damage repair prior to masking, applying priming, primer sealers of colors and/or clear coats using HVLP spray guns.

• Using an eye for detail, precise color match and complex color formulations created by vehicle manufacturers.

• Applying refinishing products in the correct sequence for proper adhesion and durability.

• Applying or restoring anti-corrosion treatments.

• Using good manual dexterity to apply decals, transfers, stencils and other types of identification to finished paint work on various types of vehicles.

• Strip old paint from the aircraft body sheet metal using prescribed paint remover solutions and pain scraping hand tools.

• Sand and smooth sheet metal surfaces with prescribed sanding hand tools.

• Roughen aluminum surfaces to create pain adhesion properties for the surface to be painted. Coat the metal surfaces with the prescribed epoxy, lacquer, resin or other material before applying the final color coat.

• Blend paint pigments in accordance with aircraft specified livery colors.

• Perform appropriate masking and stenciling to paint airline logo and livery, numerals, and letters of the airline name.

Business owner in Mobile Cosmetic Repairs for over 10+ years. I have 30 years in paint and body repair experience with attention to detail, precise color match. Capable of using various types of guns, sanders, buffers, and other electric hand tools. I am I-CAR and ASE certified, PPG, Sherwin Williams, R&M Diamond, Glasurit, and DuPont training certified.
