My entire career has been dedicated to the restaurant industry and my heart is placed deep within it. The last year gave me a new appreciation for what we do; creating lasting experiences for family, friends, professionals, and sweethearts from all over the world. I feel very blessed to have worked in a tourist destination over the last 7 years as it taught me how to connect with diverse groups of people and how to handle high volume situations with grace. I enjoy executing that “perfect experience” for every guest. My absolute favorite part is developing teams who enjoy coming to work. Willing to relocate: Anywhere

Work Experience
General Manager
The Brass Tap - Myrtle Beach, SC
March 2020 to June 2021
I took over as the General Manager while restaurants were shutting down during the first wave of Covid. I started with zero employees on staff and had to take on damage control due a controversial situation that left a sour taste in the communities mouth. It was a project but I was excited for the challenge. In a year I was able to drive the rebuilding of their brand bringing their Google scores from a 3.3 to a 4.2. Annual labor costs were down 5%, while increasing their sales a total of 7% from the previous year. Food/LBW/Paper costs were brought down significantly from the previous year and maintained according to the projected weeks sales. I was responsible for inventory/ordering in the bar and kitchen which held 70+ kegs and 60+ packaged beers, as well as liquor and wine. Duties included putting on and marketing monthly/weekly/nightly events including bingo, trivia, sports parties, tap takeovers, and holiday events. I was the sole Manager on staff which meant I was also responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations. That year of my life was the scariest, hardest, and most fun I’ve ever had. It was a lot at times, but the amount of joy that I felt while watching my staff work together, getting stronger, faster, and tougher was off the charts. I watched a group of timid, inexperienced misfits grow as a family that held their coworkers accountable and lifted them up at the same time. We had standards, we respected our culture and made everyone who came in the door apart of it. Key Hourly
Longhorn Steakhouse - Myrtle Beach, SC
November 2012 to March 2020
My time with Longhorn was absolutely precious to me. I started as a server and in my 8 years throughout my 4 different locations they continuously worked on accelerating my professional development. I worked every position in the Front of House, and was invited to train for new store openings. I loved the company in large part for the emphasis they put on culture and integrity. It was obvious that they truly cared about employees as much as the guest. My managers always lead by example. Lead from the front. They were managers, busboys, dishwashers, hosts, whatever they needed to be, without complaint.
I was offered a job in management but around the same time was in the process of relocating to a location where it wasn’t possible to continue working for the company. This was the only reason I parted ways with Darden.

Awards
Leadership & Hospitality Award by The National Restaurant Association April 2021
This was presented by my Area Director the day I informed my staff I was resigning. He was the one who nominated me for going above and beyond during my time at The Brass Tap. He watched as the restaurant filled back up, and he finally started recognizing faces when he came in because I was able to retain a staff. It became a family among the staff, which gave the guests a family to be apart of. The staff loved coming to work and it showed. I was the same age as most of them and younger than a few, yet I never had to sacrifice my professionalism or the boundaries that come with being a supervisor. There was nothing but respect, hard work, and admiration on either side which was truly special.
