PROFILE: Chemical Engineer & Safety Engineering Specialist with a proven background in The Oil & Gas Industry and Facilities Project, Process Engineer & Manager positions. ●Provide equipment sizing and calculations for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, pumps, pipelines, control valves, knockout drums, vent stacks, gas flare tips, Process Relief Valves(PRV), Pressure Safety Valves(PSV), etc., including equipment for Refinery, Cryogenic, Ethylene, Syngas Plants, etc., like PSA, VSA, and TSA columns from hydrogen purification.

●Prepare equipment specifications and data sheets. Use engineering experience to design processes and units with limited information.

●Provide support for equipment purchase and technical bid analysis.

●Provide process and operational support for oil/gas/water/steam separation and treatment systems, gas compression, transmission and distribution pipelines systems.

●Perform troubleshooting, optimization, debottlenecking, and process studies for oil, gas, water and steam conditioning and processing plants.

●Coordinate work of other engineering disciplines for the execution of conceptual, basic and detail engineering work. Ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.

●Perform process simulations using commercial programs such as Pro/II, HYSYS, Promax, Hextran, FlareNet.

●Perform hydraulic calculations on pipelines and between equipment using commercial programs such as Pipephase, Sinet and Pipesim.

●Review designs, check drawings for technical accuracy, and monitor progress of drawings against project schedules to ensure work is completed within schedules.

●Apply QA procedures using company and international standards such as ISO 9000. Conduct and facilitate Qualitative Risk Analysis using techniques such as PHA, What if, and HAZOP. Use PHA Pro software for the application of these techniques.

●Use process engineering and HSE theory and technique to develop quantitative risk analysis including dispersion analyses, spills analyses, toxicity analyses, consequence calculations, as well as perform Consequence Modeling Simulations using commercial programs such as Papa, Focus, Cirrus, Canary, and application of severity matrices to define plant safety levels and recommend mitigation measures as required.

●Apply working knowledge of industry codes and standards and government regulations to engineering projects such as 7(c) FERC, 49 CFR Parts 192 & 195, etc.

●Perform technical audits to oil and gas facilities to confirm compliance with codes, standards, publications, federal & local regulations. Use operational expertise to evaluate/improve existing and create new operation and maintenance procedures and manuals for oil, gas, water, and steam production facilities, considering standards such as ISO 14000, EPA, OSHA, related to Occupational and Environmental management.

●Support construction, equipment inspection, commissioning, pre-start up safety review, start up, construction and acceptance certificates of oil, gas, water, and steam plant production/treatment facilities.

●Support/coordinate Project Management of Change Process from initial to final/completion stage, including close out projects with as built drawings and lesson learned meetings.

●Coordinated all on-site activities required to convert an existing delayed coking pilot plant into an Aquaconversion unit for upgrading 220 BPD of extra heavy crude oil (8 API) from the Bituminous Orinoco Belt.
