EXPERIENCE
Holiday Station Stores, Maple Grove, MN- Assistant Store Manager
February, 2020 - July, 2021
●I started at Holiday Station Stores as a sales associate in February of 2019. I slowly grew my knowledge of Holidays work processes, procedures, and learned how all three shifts completed not only their work lists but also a multitude of extra tasks. When Covid-19 struck badly in June of 2020 I decided to take a 4 month break where I was terminated due to health risks for my family and the amount of time I would need to take off. In the fall of 2020 I decided to go back to work at Holiday where I was promoted to a Shift Leader within 2 months of being back. That position gave me more knowledge of the inside paperwork and money procedures to be followed for banking and safety. Then I was promoted to an Assistant Store Manager where alongside two other managers and a store manager I helped make sure the store ran smoothly.
●As an Assistant Manager I was responsible for using the handheld machines to complete orders with many major companies including Coke, McLane, and Pepsi. My involvement with these companies also extended to deliveries, again using the handheld system I would check in the product using skus/product numbers. I also was responsible for completing the daily paperwork at least 3 times a week in a 5 day work week. This daily paperwork involved inputting invoices from excel as well as paper copies into a computer program. At the end of the paperwork I was also responsible for organizing the invoices, ect. Being a manager also gave me the responsibility of attendance. I would often come in on days off to cover the workload. My role involved me with the team, sometimes leading up to 7 people at a time during my 8-12 hour shifts. Leading to me meant listening to my employees' concerns and making sure to communicate often with as many of them as I could. Towards the end of my role at Holiday I learned payroll operations including, inputs of time cards, approving breaks, time off, and sick days. My ending pay was $14.25.
Five Below, Maple Grove/St. Louis Park - Merchandising Manager
June 2021 - Present Day
●Starting at Five Below I was hired as a CEM which stands for Customer Experience Manager. In that role I was responsible for front of store operations which included employee communication, front training, Zucca/Vistar operations, and style specialist. My biggest responsibility was communication and involvement with my team members. Our team consisted of about 18 people. Including two managers, two shift leaders, and a store manager. Front training was a specialty of mine. Learning and teaching the POS system was an important part of my job because the system was always changing. Keeping up with this well communicating the changes with my team was a daily responsibility. Being so upfront and personal with the employees and registers, customers were also a main focus. Focusing on sales was important and I made sure to keep track of them daily using the Zone sheet system. I was also involved in several fundraising events including St.Judes Cancer Research, Toys for Tots, and Five Below's Backpack Donations. I helped lead these fundraisers raising more then $1,000 or more for each cause!
●Ending my career at Five Below I was promoted to Merchandising Manager where I became responsible for product movement, process tracking, scheduling, hiring of new candidates, and product placement. My store received on average 12 pallets a week, this equals about 70 packages a pallet. My role was to process the shipment using the Zebra handheld. Then I would lead on the product being sorted, placed on the floor, and the look of the way the product was placed. I was also responsible for the store's processes for about 1 month alone, alongside the new CEM.
