2. POSITION: 2010 –30 May 2016 ASSISTANT TO THE UITED NATIONS RESIDENT REPRESENTATIVE Responsibilities:

Maintaining discretion and confidentially in relations with the UN Country team.

Providing a bridge for smooth communication between the Resident office and internal departments and demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support with other UN agencies.

Prepares correspondence, directives, and circulars on behalf of RR/RC for his/her signature and making follow- up when required

• Prepare Certificate of Ownership form is also required to be completed by all diplomatic number plates holders when travelling across the borders this also entails completion of a form to be stamped by MFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) also to be requested with a Note verbal.

• Focal person for UNDP regarding the issuance of entry Visas and Visas extensions

• Liaise with shipping and clearance agents for the clearance and transportation of items from the airport or shipping port of official shipments for the CO (Country office) as well as assist CO staff members with their personnel effects.

• Receiving of drive request from CO staff to attend meeting/Workshop away from the UN-House premises and assigns drivers for the task and notify requestors.

• Maintain the CO stationary stock, ensure adequate inventory of stationary supply by regular monitoring and distribution of stationary items.

• Replenish stationery items to avoid out of stock situation, consult finance for update of expenditure on the particular budget line.
