Tax:
• Administer VAT returns submission and reconciliations
• Coordinates VAT refunds audits with the Receiver of Revenue
• Ensure the foundation PAYE and VAT taxes are paid over to Inland Revenue.
Administering foundation’s accounting system:
• Capture suppliers’ invoices, prepare payments on Pastel and load payments
• Enforce the Foundation’s financial and administrative policies and procedures at Centre level and ensure that all relevant persons are kept well-informed.
•Ensure that all income accrued to the Foundation are received, verifying the legitimacy of expenditure
• Capturing and process all transactions on Sage Patel Evolution ERP accounting system and do monthly bank and General Ledger reconciliations

• Ensuring that financial documents are handed in to auditors on time and follow-ups on all audit queries Banking
• Ensuring adherence to Foundation and Centers bank mandates and provide information on bank balances to the Finance Manager
• Reporting any discrepancies and make recommendations based on new legislation
Budget Control:
• Monitoring budget performance and spending within correct budget lines
• Assist in the compilation of yearly budgets
Asset Management:
• Ensuring that an updated Asset Register is in place
• Enforcing the Foundation’s policies and procedures on utilization and maintenance of assets, as well as procurement
• Monitoring budgetary provisions for procurement and evaluate the most cost effective option and make appropriate recommendations
Reporting:
• Compile and present all relevant finance reports relating to the position to the Finance Manager

COSDEF’s Oyetu-Creative Craft Training and Mentoring project, is a project run by COSDEF with funding from Bread for the World-Protestant Development Services (German Organization) with the aim of empowering disadvantaged communities through crafts development skills, entrepreneurship training and mentorship.
