JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for the monitoring of suppliers/contractor’s inspection activities relevant to the process and utility piping and mechanical systems to ensure that Project installation, fabrication and commissioning requirements are met. Attend to inspections and tests, according to the approved ITP, verifying the inspection reports and validating the results.
OTHER ACTIVITIES:
Maintaining contacts with other disciplines for QC issues inner his Team and Inspection on-site.
Assess Contractor’s QC team performances on site(s) and the share assessment report with project QC Coordinator. Provide QC and Inspection input as required.
JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
oEnsure that Contractor personnel attend Safety Talk prior work commencement and adhere to all relevant local HSE requirements/procedures. Ensure that relevant PPE is used.
oReview piping and mechanical work-pack Documentation Requirements for Installation, Fabrication, Testing and Inspection to ensure that all the verifications have been carried out and the appropriate check list been completed and signed off properly;
oReview specifications, codes, standards, procedures and verify where exceptions are taken together with the necessary engineering approval sign off. Ensure all referenced documents (latest revisions) are included in the work pack and that the Installation/Fabrication Contractor understands and complies with the requirements for specification and quality;
oReview the Isometric drawing for the piping and mechanical installation to ensure that the latest revision of the isometric drawings is included in the work pack.
oVerify that Contractors material traceability and inspection/testing documentation is properly developed in accordance with the Project procedures. Verify materials correlation with certificates and compliance with codes and approved specifications. Review the material list for the work pack with respect to the Isometric Drawing definition description
oMonitor suppliers/contractors works for compliance to ensure that all required NDT examination are carried out by the contractor in accordance to the approved ITP, review and approve the reports issued. Ensure that the respective NDT level inspectors witness UT and review Radiographic films where required by the ITP ensuring that NDT results meet the specified requirements.
oCoordinate and inspect the piping mechanical arrangement and alignment are in line with the design parameters definition requirements. Monitor the final visual and dimensional checks of completed piping systems;
oAttend hydro testing of piping and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
oInspection of unfired pressure vessels, heat exchanges, Condenser, Coolers, Direct-Fired Boilers, Auxiliary Equipment, Fired Heaters, and Stacks, Pumps, Compressors, Blowers, and their Drives, Pipes Valves, and Fittings.
oCoordinate and review the work pack completion inspection and documentation required for final acceptance and contract close out. Where requirements for Punch Listing ensue, develop work pack Punch List closes out. Ensure that the mechanical completion dossier is duly completed.
oAdvise promptly QA/QC Engineer of any quality related problem, deviation or non-compliance.
oDefine requirements for preservation of the piping and mechanical installations prior to commissioning, start up and hand over of the work pack as part of a system or sub-system.
oShutdown preparation including Shutdown Inspection work list preparation.
