Prior to becoming Fleet Group Manager in January 2020, I had worked as Technical Superintendent, Vessel Manager & Sr. Vessel Manager handling LPG Ships (Fully Ref., Semi- Ref & Fully Pressurised), VLCC tankers, Oil/Chemical tankers. During my tenure as Superintendent, I have successfully carried out dry docking of LPG ships & Chemical/ Oil Tankers.
Before coming ashore, I had worked as Chief Engineer onboard LPG ships for 33 months (sailing time) and total experience of 14 years on LPG ships, which include Fully Pressurized, Semi- Ref and Fully Ref. with total time at sea approx. 18 years and feel confident that I would be more than able to perform the job.
My experience includes running mostly old ships and being incharge of maintenance beyond the usual expectations. I also have experience of major refits, overhaul of main engines, auxiliary engines, auxiliary machineries, cargo plant and vessel takeovers.

Working as Technical Superintendent/ Vessel Manager/ Sr. Vessel Manager since July 2011 with leading ship management companies.
During my tenure as Superintendent I have successfully managed LPG carriers, VLCC and Chemical/ Product tankers.
As Technical Superintendent successfully carried out Dry Docking of 2 LPG carriers and 4 Oil/Chemical Tanker. Self was solely responsible for all matter related to Dry Docking right from start of dry dock planning till completion, which includes making dock specs, presenting dock budget to owners, comparison of yard dock quotations, budgeting, selection of various maker engineers & shore workshop, reporting & negotiation with shipyard, workshops and suppliers, dealing with Class surveyor and presenting final report and budget to owners.
Job responsibility as Technical Superintendent/Vessel Manager/ Sr. Vessel Manager:
Job involves coordinating technical support, guidance for safe operation of the vessels worldwide. Interaction with the Owners, Charterer’s giving prime importance to Customer Satisfaction.
Closely monitor performance of all the vessels and ensure all the customer requirements are being fulfilled. Identify reasons for any deviation & take remedial actions.
Organize and chair regularly scheduled meetings with ship staff during the periodical ship inspection. Formulate an up gradation and correction plan of the vessels and implement it. To raise issues, solve problems.
Acting as a focal point for all communication with the vessels and Owners to ensure one voice on all vessels. Arrange and host training for ship staff.
Maintain customer (engine builders / ship yards/owners/charterers/Vendors in all parts of the world) contacts during day to day operation and during projects execution.
Arrange for supply of all spares/stores/lube oil and other shore services as required by the vessel. Check & maintain minimum inventory of spares/stores on board for safe operation of the vessels and as per Company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and requirement.
Prepare & plan the running and dry dock budgets.
Plan & execute dry docking all vessels at ship yards throughout the world in most efficient & cost effective manner.
To ensure all the time classification and statuary survey status are maintained and all trading certificates are valid.
Check & prepare the vessels for business with various Oil Majors (Yara, Mobil, Idemitsu, Shell, BP, Chevron, Itochu, Total, PETRONAS, etc.) by ensuring the vessel complies with their requirements. Prepare the vessels for audits, port state control inspections, (including United States Coast Guard & AMSA) and flag state inspections.
Responsible for all crewing matters including senior officer’s selection, briefing etc.
Coordinating with administrative department for timely payment of invoices received from vendors for the services rendered to the vessels.

Key achievements during this period have been as follows-
In the rank of Chief Engineer, I had the opportunity to plan and attend dry dock (1st Intermediate Survey) of LPG/C Nordic River at Japan, Sasebo Shipyard.
As Chief Engineer Passed 30 year old ship CAP Machinery survey with Nil deficiency.
Complete overhaul of Main Cargo deepwell pump.
Passed external VEACA (Voluntary- Environment & Assessment Conformance-Audit) from third party with Nil deficiency.
As 1st Assist. Engineer I was involved in complete major overhaul of A/E’s involving renewal of bedplate and crankshaft of two A/E’s.
As 1st Assist. Engineer self was part of vessel major refit.
