DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-

1.Attending the Project Safety Meeting and discuss some workers concerns.

2.Conducting Toolbox talk in Early morning before starting any job with physical exercise

3.Preparing of a Safety Daily Observation Checklist.

4.Assuring the welfare of the workers thru inspecting of the water they take for drink thru checking the receipt of the water truck delivery when it purchase, it should be at least not more than 24 hours before serving to the workers.

5.Advising the Foreman for safe working procedure thru documented photos of unsafe condition and unsafe acts, explaining the associated risk and control measure.

6.Recording near misses and reporting to my immediate Supervisor.

7.Investigating incidents at all area, as a safety inspector, that is my duty and responsibility to do the thing needed to close the reports submitted to the Project management consultant and forwarded copy to the client to close the Issue.

8.Roaming around the site and listing of Hazards with two types, the invisible and visible hazards, submitted to my Safety Manager thru Job Hazard analysis containing the Identified Hazard, The associated Risk if the hazard is un-controlled and recommend action to control it and a review for the Identified hazard will be note.

9.Executing Random Inspection for all the tipper trucks, and equipment’s on site.

10.Making sure that the safety of all workers is 100 percent thru keeping update on the store for the availability of PPE at all types of job.

11.To implement a safe system of Work thru permit System

12. Develops, implements, and manages the Injury/Illness Prevention Program, directs and coordinates the participation of departments within that program; creates or modifies safety policies and updates Safety Manual as needed.

13. Conducts regular safety audits including the inspection of facilities, worksites, equipment, work practices, and safety devices to ensure compliance with required workplace safety standards, regulations, reports findings to department and recommends changes to establish safe work conditions.

14. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; maintains proper documentation.

15. Investigates serious accidents and/or incidents of injury or property damage at worksites to ascertain cause and need for corrective action; develops and implements measures and strategies to prevent their recurrence.

16. Develops and provides individual counseling and on-site and classroom training to staff on Safety topic

Work as a safety coordinator by coordinating with the Section heads, Managers, Site Engineers and also to the foreman of different group of workers, do the issuing of permit is quite difficult, for me this is the best way to control all accident that may Occur and it is a sign of being proactive to Inspect the area which the permit to be issued such as the confined space permit, the excavation permits and the Hot Works Permit which hazard communicated thru discussing with the Construction managers, download to Site team with the way of Tool box Talk.

IN THE CAMPS:

To inspect all the Fire Fighting Equipments and Fire Alarm Systems monthly on external and every year for the external inspection with the Dubai Civil Defense, Camp Manager and HSE Manager.

Doing every month or twice in a Month HSE inspection with Dubai Municipality and the Permanent Committee of Labour Affairs in Dubai. And Dubai Civil Defense and preparing their requirements.etc.

Attending Dubai Municipality HSE Meeting/Lecturer in Dubai Municipality Office. Sonapur.

Checking all the Fire Fighting Equipments and Fire Alarm System, and maintaining all the checklist as per Company HSE Camp Manual, by Daily, Weekly, Monthly, as Fire Extinguisher, ADCP, FHR, Smoke Detector, Heat Detector. Emergency Light, Exit Light, Fire Pump Room etc.

Doing Rotating inspection of LPG Hose Pipe, LPG Cylinder, Central gas Tank, Kitchens, LPG Stove and regulator by Daily Basis.

Checking Proper House keeping inside the Accommodation and each rooms including welfare Facility. As Dining Room, Drinking Water cooler & Filter, Toilets, Stair case, Access, Corridor and Guard Railing to Control the slip, Trips and falling hazards.etc.

Inspecting all the Electric Board/ Cable circuit each rooms to reduce electric hazard. Some Labors are using over loaded supply in one circuit board. It can cause of Fire.

Conducting Fire Evacuation Drill every Six Month in each Labour Accommodation.

Ensure the water supply for drink is safe to drink thru sending some water samples for certified and licensed laboratory water test.

Advising the Camp Boss to make sure the Housekeeping is performed daily to maintain the cleanliness of the camp to avoid any fines and penalty from the Municipality for any Inspection.

Communicating and maintaining with 3rd party Contactors for the service of Pest Control treatment, Water Tanks cleaning, Fire Fighting/Fire Alarm system service and Kitchen Grease Traps cleaning etc.

Doing every 6 month OSHA Audit in each Labour Accommodation and closing their Observation.

Visitor control specially on Thursday night thru implementing of Curfew and No ID no Entry In the camp, not allowing anybody to stay overnight if he or she is not belong in same company.

Implementing No Liquors allowed, it is mandatory camp rule, to put the pressure on it anyone caught having bottles of alcohol or a can of beer in the room will be given a written warning and a first offence which is Salary Deduction.

Implementing No Cook allowed inside the room.

No loud Music After 10:00 pm in respect to others while taking rest.

The availability of First Aid Kit at all times for any minor incidents thru lacerations, and cuts. Doing First Aid Treatments employees and maintaining all the First Aid Cases.

Providing warning letter incase of violating camp rule and regulation, smoking inside the room, Using of Alcohol/wine, unsafe Act, Misbehave, and misusing of LPG Stove.etc.

Controlling 3(three) Camps with 1500 Labours in Sonapur Dubai. And we have 6(Six) small Camps in Ajman with 2000 Labours. I am visiting there twice in a week.

Reporting Monthly Health and Safety Performance Summary to heat of HSSE.etc.
