through different outreach events.

First Baptist Church, Bloomington, Texas

Youth/Associate Pastor, November 1999 - 2008

Was licensed into the pastoral ministry in July 2000 and Ordained the same year in November.

Visited members of the congregation, as well as community members both in the hospital as well as in homes.

Mentored and counseled many youth and their families, as well as many community members.

Planned and carried out all events and ministries that the youth and their families participated in.

Was responsible for planning, scheduling, and supervising all events that occurred in the family life center as well as maintaining it.

Worked with a wide variety of people both in the church and community members planning out community events.

Began a community wide event, Fall Festival, that by the end of mine and my wife’s time there, there were 1000 community members that walked through the door and this was a community of 1200 people. This event was chaired by myself, planned with a planning committee, most all the funds that were used did not come from the church but was secured by me calling different local businesses and services receiving donations. Tallying all donations that were given by the different businesses for all donations for the many different events that were done a little over $350.000.00.

Began a Sixth grade ministry, “Tuesday Night Live” that became very effective and influential. There were not any adults that were able to help with this ministry so I utilized my high school leaders and they were absolutely phenomenal and the 6th grade students loved them and many meaningful long-lasting relationships were formed.

Each week there were several nights where the team lead had to close the store in which it was a supervisory responsibility of usually around 10-20 employees, sometimes more

Collaborate with upper management to discuss issues of staffing, merchandise, customers, etc. so that all were well informed of what all was occurring

Customer relations and service are very important for me and the team I supervised.

Over the year there were many customers who had sent in official letters to the store team lead in which it was expressed they thought I had great customer care and customer service as well as there were many team members who also expressed how they really liked how I lead the team.
