As part of compliance with Revised property and Casualty Reinsurance, URS systems are updated to accurately record assumed reinsurance on the originating contractual entity to support the year-end STAT reporting. This project involved in enhancing and adding new components in both Informatica and Mainframes.

Roles &Responsibilities:

•Responsible for Business Analysis and Requirements Collection.

•Parsed high-level design specification to simple ETL coding and mapping standards.

•Worked on Informatica PowerCenter tools- Designer, Repository Manager, Workflow Manager, and Workflow Monitor.

•Created sessions, configured workflows to extract data from various sources, transformed data, and loading into data warehouse.

•Created mapping documents to outline data flow from sources to targets.

•Design and Update/developed new mapplets using several widely used transformations.

•Work with Unix server team to create the new folders and updated the parameter files.

Ceded Loss Process – Duplicate ID-Claim

Duplicate ID_Claims an issue triggered when split project went wrong at upstream system resulting in Reinsurance overriding commercial Insurance data with Personal Insurance data causing huge financial variances and missing claims.

Roles &Responsibilities:

•Responsible for performing analysis of Duplicate ID-Claim issue having major financial variances due to upstream systems mishandling with split project and come up with solutions.

•Responsible for proposal, leading analysis & design and developing a solution by writing new Cobol programs and JCLs with procs and jobsysins, creating multiple conversion tables.

•Responsible for creating new production jobs as part of pre-CLP process.

•Coordinated with upstream system in getting the test file and run the multiple test cycles to test the code and validate the results.

IBNR (Incurred but not reported) process migration.

Post merging with SAFCO, SAFCO decided to report its claims to Commercial Reinsurance via Loss data warehouse that feeds Ceded Loss Process (CLP) for Reinsurance business users.

•Responsible for performing impact assessment with SAFCO feed process in Reinsurance Ceded loss process.

•Prepare design document, developing the code to incorporate the new feed process in existing process.

GRAD, HFM Interface implementations

Corporate IT has a new Database (GRAD – Global Reinsurance Accounting Database) to store the CI,

LIU and Ironshore data. The GRAD Database sends the Ceded Premium, Paids, Reserves, and Miscellaneous amounts to CM URS in the 215 file format at the pre-determined scheduled timeframe for the month. Corporate Reinsurance Financial was in need to create three separate interfaces to use the Database as the primary source for Bordereau Reporting.

Roles &Responsibilities

•Responsible for feasibility analysis for implementing GRAD feed with Ironshore, CI and LIU feed and HFM feeds and come with C1 and C2 estimations.

•Responsible for design and prepare technical specification documents for each interface.

•Be part of developing the new programs and JCL, Procs and jobsysins.
