Work Experience

Hill International (Jan 2020 – Dec 2021)

The project was high rise residential commercial towers and associated infrastructure, comprising of dry utilities, electrical and communication systems including HV/LV power distribution, standby power generation, lighting, lightning protection communication cabling, fire protection, security systems and indoor substations’ works.

Responsibilities:

Review submissions from construction contractors and suppliers.

Monitor site progress and assist with planning and scheduling of site activities.

Carry out inspections, witness tests and monitor quality for various works on site.

Attend progress review meetings and co-ordination meetings to resolve any site issues.

Coordinate and work with the design team and contractor.

Review and verify verification claims and monthly payment raised by contractor.

Liaise with key stakeholders and company representatives.

Respond to RFI’s raised by contractor.

Ensure the application of Health and Safety Policy and Procedures.

Review testing and commissioning plan and witness the testing & commissioning of the systems.

Visit the Project site regularly to ensure the quality of work and report any deviation from contract requirements.

Review and approve Method Statement, Quality Control Procedure and Inspection & Test Plan (ITP), submitted by the contractor and ensure its compliance with all contract requirements.

Support technically Cost Engineer to assess variations and claims raised by contractor.

Attend technical meetings with the contractor and weekly progress meetings.

Review spare parts, O & M manuals and ensure compliance with contract requirements.

Participate in reviewing the Close Out Report submitted by the contractor.

Review As-Built drawings submitted by the contractor and ensure that it matches all site changes.

Carry out calculations for equipment sizing (transformer, DG, UPS-Battery), lighting, power, DB schedules, etc.

Coordinate and follow-up for authorities’ and client’s approval.

Coordinate with various departments such as Architecture and Mechanical for project related matters.
