●Out Patient Department- Consulted over 2,000 out patients in Dermatology with complex dermatological problems needing expert management referred from various hospitals spread across the state.
●Single handedly conducted Dermatology OPD at St Joseph’s Hospital, Kallur as part of rural dermatology services from January 2019 to February 2020.
●In Patient Department:- 30 bedded ward, with separate male and female ward and isolation rooms. Patients warranting in-patient care are admitted to the Dermatology unit and specialised care given through daily ward rounds and diagnostic/ interventional procedures including skin cancers. This involves in house training of both undergraduate and postgraduate medical students and interns in the care of such patients through bedside demonstration of clinical signs and interventional procedures viz. Skin biopsy, Tzanck smear, Nikolsky sign, Pathergy test, Slit skin smear for lepra bacilli, wound dressing.
