DESALINATION & WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANTS FOR RABIGH PHASE II PROJECT- SABIC SAUDI ARABIA

Responsible for ICCP and GACP systems at Rabigh Phase II Project, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The areas comprises of Potable and Fire Water Tanks, Cooling Water System, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Utility Air Water System, NTF -35 Feedstock and Product Tanks, STF

-8 Intermediate Products Storage Tanks, In-charged in all site CP activities, engineering, construction and commissioning for external and internal ICCP system. Assist internal corrosion installation performed by vendors.

Support on electrical installation activities for Switchgear and Power Control Panels. In-charged in electrical supervision for Sub-Station Building 67 for Waste Water Treatment Plant. This also includes Process Interface Building 63. Assist in technical drawings, queries and provide on the spot decision making to prevent work delays which can be on-hold other activities of different departments. Ensure to achieve target schedule by preparing work front for subcontractors and vendors.

The following areas are involved in electrical works: HVAC room, UPS room, Telecom room, Battery room, Rack room and Cable cellar area where interconnection of switchgear panels & power panels including Transformers. In-charged on execution of Cathodic Protection System for Central Processing Facilities and Gas Treatment Units at South Yoloten Turkmenistan Project. A combination of Sacrificial and Impressed Current, installed in different locations including at pipe bridge area for concrete piles foundation.

Review and study engineering documents and drawings. Installation procedures were strictly followed to ensure high quality of work performance. Diversities were considered in which the degree of technical diversion will not be compromised the concept of engineering designed.

Conduct daily tool box talks prior to work exercise as a mandatory safety procedure. This is to prevent accident or incident within the work premises. Guidelines and safety measures were always on the top priority for the benefit of work force and company.

Trouble-shooting and technical issues were resolved on the spot to avoid project delays and unoccupied manpower at site. Support and assist subcontractors on FSM and internal corrosion monitoring for 24" trunklines and flowlines.

Team leader on CP commissioning activities for Trunklines, flowlines, tanks, crossing sleeves, fire hydrants and concrete piles. 2

SPIE OIL & GAS SERVICES MIDDLE EAST LLC. (March 2011- JULY 2013) INSPECTION ENGINEER (CATHODIC PROTECTION)

Assigned to review and study project documentations for engineering approval, i.e., designed documents, designed calculation, project estimation, installation procedures, method statements, operation maintenance manual, inspection test plan, and closure report. This includes familiarization of QP Engineering Standards and NACE specifications.

Conduct materials and equipment inspections prior to site installation. Delivery documents are properly checked for any discrepancies and ensure material and equipment are free from manufacture and transportation damages. Safety storage and proper handling were the main concern.

Execute technical inspection request, field investigation and site survey and accept pre-commissioning and commissioning activities if criteria were achieved. Jointly attend MCC & PSSR walk-through.

Accept and releasing of work-order issues from the QP-Planning Department. Closing of work-orders issues from SAP which is a System Application Products of Qatar Petroleum.

Prepare daily report, weekly report, monthly report, progress report, field report, annual survey report, summary report and follow-up technical correspondence.

Perform designed calculation and estimation for marine and pipeline structures including external and internal CP system for storage tanks. This kind of works served as a comparison purposes to ensure that the proposals submitted by the vendors are true and accurate.

Implement ICCP installation for capping beams at Central Cargo Causeway Tug Berth area. Ensure quality of installation is applied following QP’s standard procedures and safety measurement. Support and assist contractor technical issues, clarify approved designed drawings and explained on how to proceed with the field installation.

Advise contractor to prepare RFI prior to concrete pouring of capping beams and piles as per standard procedures. Handle all technical queries raised by QP- EMP and RLIC-ROI at site. Accept and approve technical changes based on site condition if installation is totally impossible to be implemented.

Inspect and correct RLM drawings prior to prepare as-built drawings for QP-EMP submittal. Conduct MCC and PSSR walk-through together with main contractor and QP-EMP.

Epic for Ras Laffan Emergency & Safety College - State of Qatar- Inspection Engineer (RLIC-ROI) In-charged of approving ICCP & SACP system installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for the following structures, Buried Plant Piping, Buried Training Prop Piping, Equalization Tanks, Fire and Potable Water Tanks, Mogas, Diesel and Gasoline Storage Tanks, Irrigation Tanks and Potable Water Tank. Jointly coordinate with QP-EDR supervisors for site inspection, MCC and PSSR walk-through.

Reporting directly to RLIC-ROI Head Department for the daily activities and work schedule. Prepare daily, weekly, monthly report and consolidated reports.

B. Epic for Wet Utilities Distribution Network for Support Service Area PH-1&2 and Main Network for Ongoing Development at West Extension, Ras Laffan - State of Qatar - Inspection Engineer (RLIC-ROI) Approving ICCP & SACP system installation and pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for Fire and Potable Water Tanks both external and internal. Jointly coordinate with QP-EMP supervisor for site inspection, MCC and PSSR walk-through. Reporting directly to RLIC-ROI Head Department for the daily activities and work schedule. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports. Review engineering calculation submitted by vendors, Designed Drawings, Inspection Test Plan, and Installation Procedures, Method Statements and Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Procedures. Study Qatar Petroleum Technical Directorate – Engineering Standards, i.e., ES.2.14.0046 (Cathodic Protection for Onshore Facilities), ES.2.14.0047 (Pre-Design Site Survey for CP Design of Onshore Facilities).

C. Tug Berth SV-240/245 (Central Cargo Causeway) State of Qatar- Lead Engineer (Cathodic Protection) In-charged in implementing of ICCP system for capping beam concrete structure. Coordinate with field engineer and project engineer on day to day activities. Assist on follow-up material deliveries and supervised ICCP concrete installation. Perform Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities.

Deal with QP-EMP inspectors concerning site installation activities and handle technical queries raise by concern parties. Prepare percentage updates reports to main contractors including preparation of monthly report. D. Western Region Projects (Saudi Aramco Bulk Plant) Kingdom of Saudi Arabia- Lead Engineer Responsible for the implementation of ICCP and Sacrificial CP system for Product Storage Tanks and Two Grades Gasoline for the six (6) Bulk Plant Locations. MMO anodes grid system were installed for bottom tanks, Zinc anodes for internal tanks, and magnesium anodes for pipeline crossing and fire hydrants. Three (3) PH 240/480 volts oil – cooled rectifier were used at each bottom tanks and sacrificial CP system for internal tanks and gas pipeline including for road crossing.

Site Activities Performance:

Site schedule preparation, organized manpower for division of labour, coordinate suppliers and sub-contractors for materials delivery and test schedule. Communication to client for site activities, submittal & update percentage of progress reports, arrangement mobilization and demobilization of manpower. Conduct safety meeting as standards requirement of Saudi Aramco. Submission of completion reports to clients and main office. Conduct Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities for the said installation. E. Renovation of Water Treatment Facilities (Al Khafji Operation) Saudi Aramco & KOC- CP Engineer Prepared Cathodic Protection proposal for 4 nos. 24m dia. Surge Tanks (external and internal), 6” & 16” overflow pipelines approximately a kilometer in length including 8 fire hydrants individual sacrificial CP system. F. Western Route Projects (Georgia Pipeline Company) Republic of Georgia- CP Engineer Conduct direct current voltage gradient survey for 530mm and 914mm dia. Buried pipelines with entire length of 378 kms. (Azerbaijan border to Black Sea Terminal). The survey is to identify, locate and categorize coating defects using the DCVG techniques. To determine the defect size as gauge percentage IR value. Survey includes swing test measurement & isolation flange testing at all sub stations. Field 4

and progress reports submitted on a weekly basis.

G. Dubai Airport Expansion Project (Dubai Civil Aviation) United Arab Emirates- CP Field Engineer Supervised impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) system for reinforced concrete on tunnel, concourse and foundation areas. A total of 115 automatic remote controlled rectifiers were installed. Conducted pre-commissioning, test monitoring and assisted in overall as-built drawings and documentation.

H. Eastern Pre-cast Culvert Project (Ahmed Mansoor Al-A’Ali Co.) Bahrain- CP Field Engineer Inspection and supervision of impressed current cathodic protection installation (ICCP) system for pre-cast of culvert at the company plant. Conduct continuity and bonding measurement, reference electrode testing and installation integrity. Prepare daily and monthly reports including method statement and checklist procedure. I. Q-Chem. Project (Qatar Chemical & Petrochemical) State of Qatar- CP Field Engineer Supervised five (5) nos. of deepwell groundbed anodes at different locations for impressed current cathodic protection system, including installation of CP facilities at congested pipeline areas and conducted pre-commissioning and testing. Prepare operation maintenance manual and as-built drawings.

J. ADCO – Oil Onshore Operation Projects (Abu Dhabi Co.) United Arab Emirates- CP Field Engineer Conducted pre-design site survey for approximately one thousand three hundred (1300) well casings at ADCO oil and gas fields. Site report submitted on a daily basis.

Site activities includes the following:

Verification of newly installed and existing CP system, soil resistivity survey, site investigation for any foreign metallic structure above or below grade level, overhead power cables identification, networking pipelines, current drainage measurement, isolation flange testing, water well resistance test including E log I measurement.

K. KOC – New Dual Tank Project (Kuwait Oil Company) Kuwait- CP Field Engineer Supervision and inspection of grid CP system installation for bottom tanks external at GC-1,4 &7. Conduct reference cell testing, integrity and continuity measurement. Prepare installation procedure, inspection checklist, pre-commissioning and commissioning procedure, operation maintenance manual including as-built drawings.

L. Jebel Ali Power Desalination Station Phase II Project (Dubai Electricity & Water Authority) United Arab Emirates -CP Field Engineer Supervision of sacrificial cathodic protection (CP) system for underground natural gas pipeline and impressed current cathodic protection

(ICCP) system for congested pipeline network within the plant including earthing/grounding system. Conducted pre-commissioning and commissioning and prepared all documentation and field reports for submittal. M. OMV- Pakistan Project (Descon Engineering Ltd.) Republic of Pakistan-CP Field Engineer

Supervised thirteen (13) locations of deepwell groundbed anodes and CP facilities installation. Conducted field survey, E log I testing for gas wellheads soil resistivity survey using the standard techniques of Geonics EM-31 & 34, evaluation of current failure. Prepare method statement for field survey and correspondence regarding field concern.

Conducted field investigation which included soil resistivity survey four (4) pin wenner methods, isolation flange measurement using gas electronics model 601 and swing test measurement. Performed pre-commissioning & CP monitoring, field survey report and overall as-built drawings.

N. Rehabilitation of Oil and Gas Pipeline Project (Petroleum Development Oman) Oman- CP Field Engineer Conducted site surveyed which includes investigation cathodic protection (CP) facilities and equipment. Groundbed resistance measurement three (3) pin method using Nilsson SRS equipment and DCVG survey locate coating faults and size of coating damage for rehabilitation. Designated also as a safety Officer, in-charge on daily activities and site work progress, scheduling of manpower and its assigned task, implement safety meetings.
