Job Description
●Monitoring the overall safety procedures in the company/project which include insuring equipment safety and professional clothing compliance.
●Following the periodic maintenance of the fire extinguisher and inspecting them so as to be always ready for sudden use.
●Checking sites and constant monitoring of their security and safety in daily manner.
●Preparing and fixing the appropriate safety regulation and guiding signs in clean manner
●Performing safety inspection and reporting all dangerous indiscretions to be concerned management.
●Advise line management in order to assist it to fulfill its responsibilities for safety
oWays to prevent injury to personnel damage to plant equipment and fires.
oWays to improved existing work methods.
oLegal and contractual requirements affecting safety, health and welfare.
oProvisions and use of protective clothing and equipment.
oPotential hazards onsite before work starts and on the safety organization and fire precautions.
oRequirements changes in safety requirements.
●Advising on safety aspect in the design and use of plant equipment and checking of new equipment before commissioning.
●Carry out periodic inspection to identify unsafe area, working conditions, practices, to report on results of such inspections and make recommendation for remedying any defects found.
●Advising upon the drawing up and implementation of safe system of work and use of protective equipment.
●Carry out site surveys to see only safe work methods are in operation, that health and safety requirements are being observed and welfare and first aid facilities are adequate and properly maintained.
●Determine the cause of any accident ( or dangerous occurrences ), and recommend means of preventing recurrence of each incident.
●Take part in discussion on injury, damage and loss control.
●Supervise the recording and analysis of information on injuries, damage and production loss. Assess accident trends and review overall safety performance.
●Keep up to date the recommended codes of practice and safety literature. Circulate information applicable to each level of employee.
●Providing information about accident prevision techniques and preparing necessary signs of safety.
●Attend job progress meeting where safety is and item on the agenda. Report on job safety performance.
●He shall be member of safety committee and he is responsible for ensuring that work is carried out within safety regulations, keep a record of every meeting complete with subject discussed and list of attendees.
●Foster within the company an understanding that injury prevention and damage control are an integral part of business and operational efficiency.
●Assist with training employee at all levels.
●Set a personal example.
