Assign duties to each engineer at the beginning of each shift add any work orders that have or will create any downtime.
Keep a constant communication line with production supervisors to keep track of damaged equipment and set up problems.
Check the progress of every engineer as time allows to ensure reduction of equipment failure.
Make periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary and assign to engineer
Give up to date information to oncoming engineering supervisor about any status of any problems or jobs unfinished.
If a breakdown occurs and repair time will exceed thirty minutes, I am responsible for calling all department heads, giving them a detail description of all aspects of failure with an expected repair time.
