Personal Statement

I am a Nurse Practitioner in the PhD program at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Worcester with experience working in challenging environments such as psychiatric units, prisons, veteran hospital and nursing homes. I have cared for and enhanced the quality of life of my patients, while working with medical teams of healthcare professionals across the spectrum of nursing care. I believe nursing practice and care is a wholesome engagement which must include family, nursing staff, doctors and other professionals whose purpose is to care for our patients. I am passionately dedicated to those under my care and believe that the healing of patients is directly related to dedication which produces and translates into faith in the caretaker and the in the healing process. I am looking for a position in which I will continue to manage and care for patients as an individual or a team, inpatient or outpatient setting.
