I am focused on mental health education, preventative care and illness management while providing compassionate, patient-centered care is my primary focus. I maintain a professional, attentive, and empathetic practice when caring for patients to promote positive outcomes. My experience over the years caring for ages across the lifespan has enabled me the ability to prioritize patient needs. I am seeking the opportunity to apply my experience to the evaluation and treatment of those suffering with mental illness. My additional expertise includes: trauma informed care, treating patients in various settings (in-patient, out-patient, telehealth, residential), and a team focused approach. Administrative Officer Atrium Medical Center (as needed) September 2019 to present
Administrative Officer (AO) is responsible for maintaining bed flow throughout the almost 300 bed2 hospital, as well as maintaining appropriate staffing ratios. Integral part of the Rapid Response Team, coordinating with all units of the hospital, and being an available resource for staff. The AO is responsible for handling aspects of disaster preparedness and crisis management. Communicating hospital wide and network wide is required.
Nursing Team Leader Atrium Medical Center BHU (full time) August 2017 to present
Nursing Team Leader is responsible for the staffing and patient flow of the 30 bed high acuity unit during a designated shift and collaborates in developing and implementing processes that achieve positive clinical outcomes. The Team Leader provides direct patient care in accordance with the staff nurse role. As team leader, the nurse works to manage staffing needs, creating patient assignments based on census and acuity, and overseeing the functionality of the shift. Attending Team Leader meetings and trainings, as well as staying current on skills and new best practices, assisting fellow clinical nurses and helping support staff, assessing outside patients as well as in house patients for possible admission with physician collaboration.

Providing care for patients in a 30 bed high acuity Behavioral Health Unit. Ensuring safety and wellness of patients is of upmost importance. Administering medication, daily assessments, collaborating with patient care technicians, psychiatrists, and social workers, among other members of the treatment team, performing admissions and discharges are all a part of the daily tasks. Working as an Alternate Team Leader from June 2015 and on, skills including: managing staffing needs, creating patient assignments based on census and acuity, and overseeing the functionality of the shift.
