A Senior Mechanical Engineer, with 14 Years’ experience in MEP services for building

& infrastructure in UAE & India. Experience in design review, supervision of wide variety of MEP works for different Residential & Commercial Projects, Industrial Building, Hospital, Five Star Hotels, Hospitals & Office Buildings.

Expertise in all types of mechanical works internal & external below ground: Design review & supervision of wide variety of mechanical works not limited to HVAC equipment’s, Chilled water system, Irrigation system, Water Supply system, Storm Water system, Firefighting system & Drainage system including sanitary ware.

Ability to Liaise with Clients, Consultants, Main Contractors & other Sub-Contractors.

Ability to ensure QAQC procedures are followed for the project, and work with the project team to close out all comments received from the QAQC reviewers

Review of shop drawings & material submittals for all mechanical works and ensuring contractor is complying with contract drawings and specification.

Ensure contractor is maintaining progress as per planned dates in base line program.

Guide contractor in attaining required authority approvals and inspections.

Identifying long lead items and ensuring contractor follows the program to avoid any delays.

Undertaking the detailed engineering, procurement and supervision of the installation of the mechanical works for major commercial and industrial buildings, working within the project budget to achieve the forecast profit.

Acting as a team leader for the mechanical works, delegating authority, issuing instructions and information to enable the team to complete the works.

Maintaining close relationships with Client, Consultant, Main Contractor, Electrical & Civil Team & Sub-Contractors to ensure proper coordination of engineering and construction activities.

Responsible for all aspects of the project management for the mechanical works including planning, budget control & reporting. Preparation of vendor list if not available, technical details and quantities for quotation enquiry packages.

Ensure that all long lead materials like major A/C Equipment’s such as Chillers, Pumps, FAHU’s, AHU’s, FCU’s, Fan’s etc. are ordered within the planned date and ensure the delivery dates are within the planned dates to not have delay.

Plan manpower requirements based on the construction program & schedule and provide requirements to the Project Manager to make sure all the planned activities are completed without delay.

Preparation of shop drawings including instruction and supervision of construction team.

Obtaining material and drawing approvals from the consultants. Issuing proper inspection request for various site activities and inspection of incoming material to site.

To give plan for manpower allocation & target dates to sub-contractors and ensuring it is implemented.

Prepare Daily, Weekly & Monthly Progress Reports and submit to the Project Manager.

Prepare material constraints and work-related constraints.

To coordinate with Contractor / Consultants to provide solutions affecting design developments / coordination matters.

Attend scheduled meetings as advised by the Project Manager with other parties i.e. Client, Consultant, Main Contractor, Authorities etc.

Responsible for mentoring, guiding and evaluating Foremen and Supervisory staff.

To plan & prepare document testing and commissioning plans and supervise all related commissioning activities.

Identification of additional works, obtaining instructions, providing information for valuation and agreeing value. Monthly billing preparations.
