1. Step 1 - Logging into the computer for the first time (ON CAMPUS ONLY) i. You will need your Student ID as shown on your Schedule. ii. If you do not have your schedule you may also ask your Admissions Advi- sor, Classroom Instructor, Program Director or the I.T. Department.
Example: JOHDOE1234 (Username is not case sensitive) iii. Your temporary, default password:
GVpassword00 (Password is case
sensitive)
2. Step 2 - Accessing Your Campus’
Homepage
i. Opening the Google Chrome web browser will take you directly to the
ECPI student homepage https://grvl.ecpi.net. *Using this link will bring you directly to the student login page from any computer.
3. Step 3 – Accessing
Canvas
i. To access Canvas from the homepage (https://grvl.ecpi.net) on the right- hand side, you will use the same Username and Password you used to log into the computer ii. Step 1.

4. Step 4 - Accessing ECPI WI-FI (ON CAMPUS
ONLY)
i. On your mobile device open your Wi-Fi settings and choose “ECPINET” ii. Once you have selected “ECPINET” a splash screen will load prompting you to sign in. iii. Enter the same Username and Password you used to log into the com-
puter. 5. Step 5 – Accessing Microsoft Office 365
(Student E-mail, OneDrive)
i. At the top of Chrome Web Browser Open a new tab and enter the
address for the ECPI Homepage https://grvl.ecpi.net ii. On your newly opened tab hover your mouse over the EMAIL SERVICES option on the ECPI Homepage and select Student Email option from the drop-down list.
iii. You will be brought to the Office365 page which will request that you en-
ter your Student email
address.

iv. The next step will be a screen stating “More information required” click
the next
button.

v. Downloading the Microsoft Authenticator Application on your device
1. If using an Android device open the Google Play Store; If using an
Apple device open the App Store 2. Search for the “Microsoft Authenticator” application and down-
load it to your device. (This application is free and will be required to access your Office 365 account) 3. Open the
“Microsoft Authenticator” App on your mobile device and select Add account 4.

5. The QR reader will automatically open on your device 6. On the computer select the Next button. 7. A QR code will be displayed on screen that you can now scan with
your Mobile device, click the Next

8. A test will be issued to ensure you have set up the authentication
process properly by displaying a pop up notification on your mo- bile device requesting you to “Approve” or “Deny” Select the
“Ap- prove” option 9. On the computer click the Next button when you see the Notifica-
tion has been approved with the green check mark

10. Click Done on the next screen 11. You will then be brought back to the sign in screen for Microsoft Office 365 which will send the “Approve” or “Deny” Notification to your mobile device. Select “Approve” to continue

i. Outlook
1. Select the Outlook Icon which will be your primary student email 2. Set the Time Zone to +5 Eastern Time and continue to view your
email ii. OneDrive
1. OneDrive is a Cloud-based storage system that will allow you ac- cess your saved documents from any location you have Internet access. 2. To upload files using OneDrive: Open OneDrive, click the “Upload” button at the top and navigate to the file(s) you want to upload to OneDrive 3. To download files using OneDrive

iii. Installing Office on your personal
computer
1. Once you have logged into your Microsoft Office 365 Account and
you are at the screen showing all of the apps, you will see a drop- down section at the top right of the screen. Click “Install Office” and then from the drop-down select “Office 365 apps” 2. This will not work on an ECPI computer. This is for your personal
computer
only.
7. Step 7 - Changing your Password (ON CAMPUS
ONLY)
i. To change your password, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete Keys simultaneously on
your keyboard to access a new screen with a list of options. ii. Select Change a Password iii. You will then prompt you to enter your

8. Step 8 - Changing your Password (REMOTE
USERS)
i. Open Chrome and go

http://portal.office.com ii. Log in with your student e-mail iii. Click the Gear icon at the top
right cor-
ner and click: iv. “Change
your Password”
v. Enter your Old Password: GVpassword00 vi. Create your new password vii. Click Submit

9. Step 9 - Creating a Student Portal
Account
i. Go to the homepage: https://grvl.ecpi.net ii. Click Student Resources
> Student Portal iii. Click Login > Student Portal Homepage iv. DO NOT TRY TO LOG IN. Click
“Create a new Account”
v. Enter your Student ID, First name and Last name. Click Next vi. It will say it found an e-mail address associated with your account, click Yes. vii. Next it will ask you for your Username and Password. For the Username, make sure you put your Student ID as the username. You can set the password to the same one you just changed. viii. A message will pop up saying that an e-mail has been sent to their account. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO LOG IN TO STUDENT PORTAL UNTIL YOU CLICK THE LINK IN YOUR STUDENT E-MAIL. THIS MAY TAKE UP TO 5 MINUTES. ix. Once logged into student portal can make online payments, check past grades, check upcoming classes and print an unofficial
transcript.
