Duties: As a Group leader, I started in the wax room where I assembled wax parts, putting them together, etching, water soluble, X-ray level 2 RT level 2, and I do have my certifications. I performed Visual inspection level 2, read blue prints, and worked with engineers, and customers. I did audits, read customer instructions per limits on film, liquid penetrant and viewed parts per customer qualification. i was a third shift group leader and a floater. Works at one or more work stations on rebuild line. Checks parts and components as assembled to determine service-ability using micrometers and calipers when required to assure components are within specified tolerances. Performs dye check of bearings to determine if within required specifications. Repairs parts and components as required and modifies substitute parts if possible when the proper parts are not available through normal supply channels. After diagnosis has been made by employee of higher grade, makes repairs, adjustments, modifications and replaces defective items when required. May perform operational test of parts correcting any minor deficiency detected. Repairs, rebuilds, and/or modifies a variety of miscellaneous components and accessories for equipment. Disassembles items, cleans parts as required with approved solvents and visually checks and/or gauges items to determine if reusable. Repairs, replaces, and/or adjusts defective parts or assemblies. Reassembles item repaired according to tolerances specified and if applicable performs operational test. As required, cannibalizes other unserviceable assemblies to obtain critical parts that are unavailable. Operates air wrenches, power drills, drill presses, soldering equipment, grinders, sanders, hydraulic jacks, and other similar equipment also uses micrometers, calipers, precision gauges and other hand tools common to the trade work involves standing, bending, working in cramped position. Constantly lifts items weighing 25-50 pounds and occasionally is required to lift items in excess of 65 pounds. My work is performed in moderately heated, lighted, and ventilated and work is dirty and greasy,cuts,and bruises from use of tools and equipment. I operated a forklift capable of lifting 15,000 pounds and as high as 168 inches to change out my station as necessary. I read and apply written instructions, less complex blueprints, sketches and specifications as required in the fabrication or modification of parts and components for a variety of equipment such as components and control instruments that are not available through normal supply channels. I am able to select proper type and size of material from stock and establishes a working point, which requires knowledge of various metals, the surface finishes to be machined, the proper cutting tools and correct machine feeds and speeds necessary to produce a quality product. I know how to use precision instruments such as calipers, scales, depth gauges, micrometers, thread gauges and other similar measuring devices. Duties: My main duties were putting jigsaw metal templates together to be spot welded. This process spot welding was done by contacting metal surfaces that was joined by the heat obtained from resistance to electric current. Work-pieces are held together under pressure exerted by electrodes. I used a specific and unique welding machine. This machine is designed with clamps that join two pieces of metal together with electrodes. The electrodes are used to apply pressure and electricity into the metal objects. This causes a spot weld to be formed with a metal jigsaw pieced together and pushed down the line for a different process.
