Responsibilities of a Legal Records Clerk in law office, I am responsible for the physical client medical records files and the electronic files, Here are some of the responsibilities of a Legal Records Clerk:

• Scan or read incoming materials to determine how and where they should be sent.

• Input data, such as file numbers, new or updated information, or document information codes into computer systems to support document and information retrieval

• Perform general office activities, such as typing, answering telephones, operating office machines, processing mail, or securing confidential materials

• Answer questions about records or files

• Keep records of materials filed or removed, using logbooks or computers and generate computerized reports

• Add new material to file records

• Maintain a high level of understanding of the open positions. Enter ATHs accurately into applicant tracking software within 8 hours of receipt.

• Use applicant tracking software to identify, track, and retrieve resumes/candidates whose qualifications match the required qualifications in open positions.

• Perform first level search of candidates and develop pool of minimally qualified candidates.

• Create “hot lists” of hard-to-fill positions and immediately screen candidates and pass on to Employment Coordinators.

• Perform reference checks within 8 hours of receipt.

• Verifies licensures and rehire eligibility in Cyborg on all final candidates.
