Note: The Perseus Books Group was split up and sold to two different buyers on 3/31/17. Part of the company was acquired by Ingram Content Group and the other part by Hachette Books Group. I transitioned to Ingram Content Group as a transitional employee on 4/1/16 as a Payroll Manager and my main responsibility was to transition 600+ employees over to their respective new employers and close out the Perseus Books Group business.
Provided extensive reports to both buyers and worked closely with their Human Resources, Payroll and Benefits department to transition employees to their new pay systems, PTO plans, healthcare plans, 401K plans, etc.
Closed out the Perseus Books 401K plan, worked with external auditors to obtain final audit and filed 5500 reports with the DOL.
Filed final Perseus Books health plan 5500 report.
Closed all Perseus tax accounts (federal, state, and local) across 22 states and resolved any tax issues that existed during the close.
Acted as liaison between CentreLane Partners (former owners of Perseus Books Group) and Ingram and Hachette to resolve any issues on banking, accounts payables, tax, and employee issues.
