COMMUNICATION

I communicate with administration daily about their expectations and important documents that need to be in. I communicate with my team daily and during planning about what we are working on each week. I also communicate with them if they desire any help with their planning. I communicate with my student’s parents during conferences or any concerns that I might have about that students. I also share with parents how well their child is doing in my classroom. I communicate with my students daily about my expectations for them in my classroom. I constantly give my students praise for good work and behavior in my classroom. I give my students feedback on ways they can also improve in my classroom. I encourage teamwork daily from working with my team or my students in the classroom.

LEADERSHIP

I show leadership in my classroom daily, by being the example for my students. I show leadership in the way I interact with my students, how speak to my students, and the way I behave in my classroom. I lead my students through daily learning activities and help guide them through challenging activities. I am the lead teacher over the social studies lesson plans. I plan the lessons for social studies that my team will use on a weekly basis.

It is my responsibility to create lesson plans and teach those plans to the students inside my classroom. It is my responsibility to make sure all students are receiving Tier 1 instruction and instruction that is on their learning level. It is my job to provide small group instruction, track student’s progress, and present to parents how their child is doing in my classroom by scheduling parent teacher conferences or just contacting them once a month to give them updates on how their child is doing. I have to create and reinforce classroom rules, work with school administration to make sure students are prepared for their next grade level. I have to maintain a positive classroom climate for all students and work closely with other staff to collaborate on learning activities for our grade level.
