2. Project Topic- “Spatio-Temporal Evolution of the Mantle and the Continental Crust: A Geochemical Perspective” Duration March 2017 to Till Date 1. Project Description – We have used the available data along with newly generated data on some critical lithologies from the Indian Subcontinent to make some significant contribution in field of evolutionary history of Earth in general and Indian lithosphere in particular. 2. 1. Project Topic- “Geochemistry of Copper, Lead and Zinc in the Island and Continental Arc Crusts: Implication for Mantle sources and Differentiation Processes.” Duration December 2014 to May 2015 1. Project Description – We have analyzed the geochemical data on copper, lead and zinc in 5 continental arcs and 9 island arcs. We found that there are certain but definite variation in the behavior of copper, lead and zinc among different continental arcs and island arcs. These differences can be attributed to the variation in the fractionating mineralogy, conditions of fractionation and timing of sulfur saturation.
