Hobbies & Interests
I spend my free time backpacking with particular interest in environmental conservation and wildlife habitat protection, (am apart of Eco Health Alliance which aims to protect the health of people, animals and the environment from emerging infectious diseases). Enjoy participating in events that encourage community exchange (healthy communities = healthy children and parents!) )Natural Horsemanship (with emphasis on horse-rider relationship), and free diving, I hope to start a beginners PADI open water freediving course in Spring 2022. I adore distance running (as long as my knees will hold out!) and am working towards creation of CMP (Child Mindfulness Program) in our community for children with chronic health issues which will allow children to have space to develop basic techniques such as awareness, breathing, gratitude, and stretching to cultivate positive strategies to facilitate emotional wellness (I will draw from my yoga training I participated in directed towards children with sensory integration/processing issues).
