Reaching over 800 individuals monthly. Expertly measuring the success of 3 programs, ensuring they properly address community issues by emphasizing education and self-efficacy. Lead bilingual trainings for education partners who present the information on site in English, Spanish, and Mixteco.

Sports Nutrition Intern, Palo Alto, CA 06/2019 – 09/2019 Provide evidence-based performance nutrition education to Stanford University Athletes. Collaborate with a team aiming to enhance sports performance, decrease risk for injury, and optimize health goals.

Taste Room Intern, Paso Robles, CA 07/2018 – 11/2018 Part of a team that emphasizes the importance of sustainability, tradition, and education. Aided in production, bottling, and shipping. Lead hour-long informative tours for guests. Developed lotions, soaps, and lip balms with the excess oil and developed face and body exfoliants with the olive pits to offset waste.
Gained first hand experience in food systems, product research and development, education, and business.

I partnered with this organization because of a special interest in maternal and child health. I served as a bilingual volunteer that provided clerical support and aided participants in finding resources beyond our scope. I was educated on relevant local organizations to facilitated referrals on sensitive situations and ensure participants felt supported and secure.

This Service in Action trip to Cape Town, South Africa was done in collaboration with the Film School of South Africa to rebuild a local all-boys school and collaborate on a video project. The trip had a heavy emphasis on culturally competence and creating equitable spaces within the community. This experience rounded out my perspective of diversity which I carry into all lines of work.
