Loss Control Consultant, Volt Information Sciences, April 2019 – Current
Conducted Site Risk Assessments to detect, mitigate and report to Field and Corporate stakeholders any process and/or premise hazards that were a threat to the safety of workers and/or a threat to company assets.
Conducted Accident Investigations upon occurrences or delayed reporting. The goal of these investigations was to care for the injured workers, determine root causes, applying countermeasures involving engineering controls, administrative control, and/or PPE as warranted.
Study the SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) against the displayed practices being used by the workers. Set out to ensure the SOP was in line with the JSA (Job Safety Analysis). Discuss, Teach and Coach any variances discovered.
Triage the FROIs (First Report of Injuries) looking for potential hazards and if discovered to assure every incident no matter how minor, does not present a propensity to repeat.
Examine Loss Runs looking for injury trends and opportunities for process improvement. Build Safety Orientation Programs, specific hazard (like Confined Space or Work from Height) programs, and other ancillary Safety and Risk Training Programs to proactively fight loss. Presented and conducted these classes in a classroom setting, as a Webex, or as a video presentation.
Act as the first point of contact for Government Intervention issues arising out of Occupational Safety. Like Cal/OSHA or Fed/OSHA Inquiries. Cooperated and Collaborated in investigations and attended hearings as needed.
Conducted weekly meetings with the Claims Department to discuss trends and issues. Build relationships centered around team building and confidence building. Report out presentations to senior management.
Onsite Program Manager, Volt Workforce Solutions, May 2016 – April 2019
Oversaw a workforce of 200+ contingent employees at the Vans Distribution Center.
Conducted safety orientations for workers.
Conduct Safety Assessments to ensure workers are conducting job tasks using safe processes in a safe premise environment.
Act as the Human Resource Generalist to ensure workers are adhering to Vans’ policies and procedures throughout each shift; addressing worker performance issues, conduct, and employee-relation issues brought by management.
