Diligent, devoted and trusted Regular Rural Mail Carrier on what was considered to be the 'most dangerous route' out of the Boone PO in Watauga County, not only by our local office, but the District Office in Greensboro, NC, as well. Held the record for the least number of Leave Notice packages on my route after becoming the Regular Carrier. I was honored to serve my community in this capacity out of my POV, an AWD Honda Element, and later the 2WD USPS Mercedes Metris Van, in all weather conditions at higher elevations, including Almost Heaven. Highly knowledgeable of all aspects of my route. I was the only Mail Carrier out of the Boone PO that actually lived on my route. Highly skilled at efficiently casing, prepping, organizing, loading and accurately delivering all mail, including all issued Accountables (Certified letters, COD packages), and an exceptionally high volume of packages (required to be able to lift 70 lbs repeatedly), for 698 addresses on my route daily, especially with the USPS Amazon contract during the Covid pandemic, making multiple trips aside from my standard route to get them all delivered, working 14+ hr days, past 8.2 hr route evaluated time. Maintained Edit book for all route updates. Handled all Forwards and Holds for seasonal residents. I had worked on every route in Watauga County: City, Rural, held down the Express route for both, and RR91 in Ashe County, the longest RR out of the Boone PO at 90 miles, before I bid and was awarded my route, RR5. Followed all Federal SOP. Worked in coordination with the Postal Inspector, Federal Law Enforcement, in certain situations. Passed all Federal background checks and drug tests. Excellent driving record. Safety first, always. Dealership Liason

I often assisted in resolving patron issues. In the Business Office, I assisted with Accounting.

• Accomplishment (Mission almost completed): One day I came dangerously close to securing the sale of a Premium Package 2017 Nissan Xterra from the Front Desk while the guys in Sales were out on the lot. I enjoyed my position with Nissan. My Nissan Team wanted me to stay and work with them. However, they knew I was working there until the United States Postal Service had completed my hiring process. I began to research the issue on my own. It was late in the day, and after we got off the phone, I sent him an email to let him know I was staying to further investigate. He kept calling me for updates. On his sixth call within a hour, I respectfully yet directly expressed to him, 'Mark, could you please stop calling me. You have no idea how many windows I have open right now. I promise I will send you an update when I have one. Something is not right, and I need to figure out what the hell is going on'. After contacting my external Vendor base, shipping companies, verifying with our internal Accounting department and then, consulting with IT, I worked with the IT Team, and within that week, I was able to clear hidden system errors due to a particular code on certain items in Ecometry which had caused previously closed dropship orders to appear to be open. I was commended by the entire Operations Team and Executives in a conference call meeting for my heightened sense of urgency in taking the initiative to indepently investigate and research possible reasons for any discrepancy, and in result had found the issue and closed over $500K in floating open dropship sales within that week, handling a very serious financial and system issue due to a system error and had taken action to investigate it independently, and once aware, had followed through to complete resolution. Additional Information

Owner: 2005 Western Star - All In Good Time Transport In 2013, I invested in a 2005 Western Star tractor. After a divorce, I had been considering the decision to go back to school for my Masters degree, or purchase the Western Star. Considering cost, profit and time, as I worked full-time, I decided to purchase the Star Car. I managed all of the business related to its work, payments, taxes, maintenance, and scheduling. My Operator handled the transport. Through my Operator, the Star Car was signed on with different companies as an Owner/Operator tractor: Knight Transportation, Atlanta, GA - 48 states

Roadrunner Transport, Decatur, GA 48 states

K.L. Breeden & Sons, Anniston, AL - 9 states, SE Region When the Western Star was in the shop for a $17K inframe engine rebuild, my Operator signed on with another company to be a company driver. I almost took the Western Star on the road myself after I was laid off in the 5th round of layoffs at HD Supply. Instead, I decided to sell the 'Star Car' to another Owner, and I relocated to the mountains of NW North Carolina.
