In support of the company strategic direction and goals, my duties include evaluate, revise, and/or develop new short & long-term goals/ objectives and performance standards for the department. Also, present reports on Quality performance matrix during one-on-one meeting with the Plant Manager (scheduled by me). Responsible for monitoring alerts in the new Quality Management System PLEX. Active participant in the APQP, PPAP, PFMEA processes with our corporate facility. Monitor and audit all progressive metal stamping, precision machining, and welding activities related to all current programs in the plant. Monitor incoming inspection of all steel coils and blank steel received from all steel distributors. Monitor through SPC and attribute data collection of all installation, lead the MRB (Material Review Board) activities to disposition nonconformance product before releasing to production. Testing/inspection with the CMM to ensure all activities related to metal brackets for all customers for steering columns, motor housings for ABX braking systems, wiper motor and other steel component customers that require welding and precision machining activities. Support the stamping division to monitor part inspection and packaging activities. Manage the roll form process that produces the Long and short bed panels for GM Colorado/Canyon pick-up trucks, awarded the 2019 and 2020 GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award for the 31XX program. Monitor and support all CNC activities for compliance with Wainwright a Division of Modineer criteria and standards. Maintain and update department’s standard drawing, specifications, and procedure manuals and other industry reference standards and resources. Continue to monitor all process and maintain the required level of compliance for IATF 16949, received 0 findings during the 2020 surveillance audit, and 0 findings during the re-certification audit for 2021.
