●One and a half years of clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine student.
●7 months experience as a cardiac stress nuclear tech.
●4.5 years' experience in a hospital setting as a nuclear medicine tech.
●Quality control: in the hot lab, daily, weekly, and quarterly quality control procedures on the cameras and equipment.
●Imaging procedures including: bone scans (whole body, limited and three phases), bone spects. thyroid uptake and scan and thyroid cancer whole body scans, HIDA and HIDA with CCK/ kinevac scans. Hida with ensure, cardiac perfusion studies with sestamibi and myoview, cardiac spect/CT, parathyroid imaging and parathyroid spect/CT, liver/spleen imaging, lymphoscintigraphy with filtered sulfur colloid and lymphoseek, renal scan with Lasix, lung ventilation and perfusion scans with xenon, lung spect/ct, gastric emptying scans, GI bleed scan, Meckel's scan, CSF leak scan, leukocyte WBC with ceretec and indium, octreoscan, gallium scan. cardiac amyloidosis scans, cardiac muga scans, brain death study,
●PET scans with FDG F-18 and pylarify
●Verify doctors’ order, explain and prepare for procedure, start IV, draw blood, inject patient, and measure BP & glucose levels
●Operate and troubleshoot Siemens E-cam, Siemens Evo, Siemens Symbia T with CT, GE Infinia, GE Discovery 630, Siemens PET/CT Biograph
●Utilize hospital protocols, follow schedule and customize if needed due to patient limitation
●Process all nuclear medicine studies listed above
●Assist in transporting/lifting patients
●Utilize the computer to enter/retrieve patient data, transfer studies
●Explain procedures to patients and perform patient care
●Perform a variety of nuclear medicine tests ordered by physicians, prepare for radiologist review and diagnosis
